That's an important thing to note. I haven't tried to use mine for front wheel removal, but it seems that everybody who has has broken that tool. And even if you have a garage full of tools that Yamaha spark plug tool is indespensable for changing plugs on this bike. INDESPENSABLE!! So...

The 07 manual says "To switch the speedometer and odometer/tripmeter displays between kilometers and miles, press the “SELECT” button for at least one second." I assume it's the same for 09. http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-technical/320-2004-through-2007-manuals-download-here.html

I think you have to press and hold the select button for a few seconds and it will change. I that doesn't work try holding the reset button instead.

+1 on that. I say you'd be better off trying to get the complete OEM kit. It's one of the best bike tool kits I've seen from the factory. A couple tools are fairly specific to the bike and you may not be able to get them otherwise - not positive about that. In addition to that kit I carry...

I'm happiest when I'm in places that don't have cell service, but I do like to check in with my wife from time to time when I'm travelling alone. Many small mountain towns have working-order payphones that I use for that purpose. Though, many coin-op phones don't accept coins for long...

It's all about the tank bag when paying tolls with cash. Well, really it's about planning and a tank bag. Keep the cash/coins in their own accessible pocket with nothing else in it. When I have to pay a toll that I wasn't expecting I pull over before I get to the booth, sort out the money...
