actually... YMMV I use the bottom edge of my shed, a long 2x4 and a second short length of 2x4 to break the bead (similar to IMG1 below.) If I'm not saving the tire I simply cut it off with a hack saw. I use two large c-clamps, tire irons and WD40 to install fresh tires and I never scratch...

Good thread! I ride all year, which I'll admit is easier in VA than it is further north. In January and February it is still close to 20F most mornings and sometimes it's in single digits. I still ride every day unless there is snow or lots of ice. Battery My original (2006) battery...

I just had my kill switch fail on me recently and your symptoms match mine to a T. I can't say that this is definitely it, but I'd guess it's the best starting point. If the bike starts back up after a few seconds or after flipping the kill switch back and forth then it's not your charging...

Maybe it was mentioned already and I missed it, but the best free-ish tool I've seen for the front axle is a reversed 5/8 Spark Plug socket. You just have to stick an extension in from the "wrong" side and there you have it... a 19mm hex tool.

Put it on ADV-Rider.. the gear section or even a local thread if there is one. Very popular tire for sport touring. A rear would sell a lot quicker, but surely somebody in the Toronto area needs a front PR2 at this time. Good luck!
