Your winter in NY sounds like ours last year!! Crazy isnt it?? We didnt get too much here in Maryland... probably 10-12" total this time around. (we have dodged the bullet every snow storm this year) Here are a few pics I took at the local marina.

Thats nice. I picked up a 18-200mm the other day. It doesnt have the best aperture at 3.5-6.3, but for $189 it cant be beat! Tamron had some great holiday discounts!

Thanks for all the input. Finally got all my xmas gear together. Santa was good this year!! Picked up two bags.. nice cleaning kit... some Eneloops.. and a few other goodies here and there. Just got an additional lens in the mail yesterday. Tamron 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 I am still waiting...

yeah I would just try to color match. Since we don't have full plastics there belly pan won't be right next to anything else that is painted making it near impossible to notice a slight difference in paint color. Swyped on my DROID X using TapaTalk.

What lens was this taken with? any advice on how to get such a nice crisp action shot?

Cool, i would love to get a nice ranged (24-85 f2.8-4 for example) but i cant seem to find one on the cheap. I usually buy new lenses when i see a good sale and i have not come across one recently. Whats your best lens for like motorcycle action shots? maybe the 80-200 2.8?
