Don't know if you have one, but the center stand can also move a bit up and down when hitting bumps, causing a knocking sound.

My life revolves around training so no, I don't exercise to stay fit for riding. I do mostly wushu (Chinese martial arts) and strength training. I usually work out six or seven times per week. :)
