Nice one Humpy. Pretty much the same routes i've been checking out. Gives us a good mix of riding and time to stop and check the sites etc. Some of those roads look fantastic...Is it February yet?

Can't tell ya Humpy. Since i changed the gearing on the XJR i have'nt been able to ride :(. Hopefully get back on it this week. :cheer: Same with Kazza's, have'nt used a full tank since gearing change

I agree that the FZ1 looks nicer, saw one the other day at the dealer in white, looked very tasty. You could always drop a tooth on the front it would pull better from lower RPM.

It would be between the ST and the FZ1 for me. I think both would make great tourers. The Triumph engine would be excellent for touring having that bit more torque.

Jamie, when are you intending on doing this trip. Kazza and I are more than likely going to the Supers next year and I would love to tour around Tassie. I'm not sure she'd be up to riding though. She might just fly back to Perth after the supers, but I'd carry on to Tassie with the bike, or...

Jamie, you will find no faults whatsoever with the Triumph motor. It has absolutely loads of torque, just like a v-twin. If you're looking for a touring bike I think it would be a perfect motor, but I think a 4 cyl air/oil cooled 1300cc motor would probably be better LOL
