My dyno'ed PCIII will still, on occasion, do what you are describing. Mine has been running like that since this post was created with no noted damage. Hope that answers your question. Your mileage sounds about right, too.
Been very busy the last few months and seems like forever since I've been able to ride. Today I said the hell with it.....going for a ride. Bike started right up and ran perfectly. Little on the cold side today, but didn't stop the smile from reaching my ears.:D Still lovin' this bike!:rockon:
To be honest, I don't think a PCIII with a custom map is really worth the money. It does offer a slight improvement, but not equal to the amount of money it costs if you know what I mean. I think unplugging the battery for a few minutes is perfectly fine.:thumbup:
