+1. I have LV's and the Givi top and side case racks installed. As mentioned, be patient as the install is time consuming to get everything perfectly lined up...

I almost did this while taking my bike of the center stand. Luckily, the Xena lock I use is also a squealer, and hearing it go off quickly got me to remove it. :D

I feel bad for the kid. He's definitely not all that bright for lack of proper riding attire, but that wreck looked painful. Could he have done more to help himself? Absolutely; but don't forget he's just a kid, likely on his first bike...

Good reads. I use a Xena squealing disc lock when I'm away, otherwise, it's in my garage. Scary to know that someone who knows what they're doing can make off with your bike so fast though...

I'm in when the S1 bracket progresses past the prototype stage. Glad to hear your getting good reviews, looks like the S2 brackets are very nice!

Glad you made out ok. To echo what others have said, simply let the 'a-hole' pass you. Better to have an erratic driver in front of you, as you are better able to react to situations...

Both of these have been trialed before, with marginal success. I think shortening the stock screen is the way most people go who don't purchase aftermarket windscreens...

Happy B-day Dennis. Hope you have an awesome day, and that you have good times with your friends and family. Thanks for running an awesome (the best) FZ6 site on the 'net'!

Vegas did have error code 12. I ended up reading his thread. I believe my error code was tripped due to the hasty stop and stall, and the ignition switch was a symptom of my overzealous attempts to start the bike... I now carry a .pdf from here of all the diagnostic error codes, and some simple...
I didn't, but I should have. Honestly, I believe it was my situational awareness that prevented us from getting clipped, as I started slowing down to allow the Taurus to pass as soon as I saw him coming. It's really the driver who was lucky. I wish I had my cellphone to take pics... What a mess...
Yatz86 - glad you're ok. Sounds like it could have been a lot worse. Have you thought about selling some of your mods off? I know here in Canada some wrecking/insurance yards will allow you time to put your stock equipment back on prior to a write-off (I'm pretty sure that's a Leo Vince...
I had a strange day on Saturday. My wife and I decided to go for a motorcycle ride, with her riding pillion. We rode out to a large box store about 30 mins away, and did some browsing. On our way back (same route) I noticed a grey Ford Taurus flying up behind me. I use the word flying...
Got the kits in the mail yesterday, handed them out today. The 'gang' was really happy with how easily they could do this simple maintenance. The only issue we had was with the one guy who has a Kawasaki z750. His throttle assembly had to be disassembled a little more than my Fizzer in order...
