To do it right will require the complete engine to be torn down and completely flushed of all those metal particles,imo. I myself would consider taking a close look at the oil filter in another FZ6 engine/transmission assembly,and taking compression tests of each cylinder,to swap into your bike. :)

The unit works hydraulicly,using oil pressure to feed it. My bike has 18000miles,but the chain is making a bit of noise;I bought a new one and will be replacing it very soon.

Yes,I understand. I was referring to your engine's camshaft timing chain tensioner. A small unit but very critical if it's clogged or worn and doesn't properly keep tension on the timing/cam chain.

Have you checked your cam chain tensioner ?

I'm looking for a small pair of lower case guards,just to protect the lower cases. I want the ones that don't obscure the oil filter or oil drain plug.

A Puig Touring windshield for my FZ6-S2 is what I'm interested in.. I have lower neck problems(degenerative disc disease)and want a clean flow of air over the top of my helmet;I'm 6'1".

I don't know if this one will be possible(shipping,$,etc.),but as far as a set of top parts for the top rack:will this kit(or similar)complete a luggage system for my S2 and will it tie the upper and lower racks together for more strength ?
