Like the most basic for every category No collision/comprehensive I'm 26 and not married and my last accident happened just over 3 years ago (1/16/12)so I have a "clean" record now. Just updated the main post

    Moto Insurance Rates 2014 (USA)

Just wanted to comment say I actually ended up paying $156.40 for Rider, that lower price must have been a special for either the month of May OR some kind of earlier cancellation incentive (since I was still on Progressive at that time) Also here's the new 2015 thread...

    Moto Insurance Rates 2015 (USA/NJ/BASIC)

(2014 Thread) These quotes are for the most basic level of insurance, which is what I get. Current Insurance (Rider) wants $156.40 but here's the breakdown which includes competitor rates which I assume everyone else would find similarly comparable results (or rather ratios of price, company...

    US recommended insurance coverage

I'll have to make a 2015 thread for this but check here: http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/52873-moto-insurance-rates-2014-usa.html That's in NJ for basic coverage but I'd imagine trends would remain the same (assuming 2015 they still are) I'll try to update it soon!

How Do Traffic Signals Work in EU?

Great Idea...though we've complained about a poorly torn up road and they've done nothing so I doubt they'd hassle themselves to lower the limit on the light sensor, even though it's likely alot less work  Oh, I thought those were infrared scanners that detected a sizable heat source...

How Do Traffic Signals Work in EU?

That's so awesome! I wish NJ accepted that law here, I still go anyway and I think only an a-hole cop would actually enforce a violation if I explained the situation. (Especially if there is no other option to get around it) Luckily most lights around me are infrared or better and pick my bike...

Got lent the FZ6 as a courtesy bike...

I've never heard of the XJ-6 but it almost seems like a FZ6NR (like a detuned naked FZ6), when I looked it up I swore it was just an FZ6N. Here's to hoping you get to swap up to it, I love my 2007 of the same color and everything!

Hubby went for a ride without me, it was an expensive ride

Seconded, I was ready to hear some sort of tragedy... Glad it's was just a financial loss, not a personal or material loss! Have fun on it...not that I'll need to tell you

Fuel Grade (regular, mid-range or premium)

Isn't it 93 on the euro scale which equates to 86 or 87 on the american scale? I thought there was a big debate on this... That may have been where I learned that haha

    Picked up my FZ6 yesterday!

Looks like a beaut, shame you can't really ride now (I'm guessing as I'm a good deal south of you and it's too cold for me haha)

Fuel Grade (regular, mid-range or premium)

But our motorcycle's not that smart, like it doesn't have the knock sensor to intelligently take advantage of the added octane right?

Fuel Grade (regular, mid-range or premium)

I feel like a case study should be conducted where people ask for mid grade or premium but get regular (and charged for regular of course) and still see if they "feel" the difference to see if it's placebo or actually helpful.

    Basic Bike Knowledge

Well I meant an implied ease of options available but yeah that's what I mean, I wish more and more manufacturers would switch to belt, chains is so archaic and nasty lol. Shaft is cool too, but they are often much heavier than both chain and belt drives.

    Basic Bike Knowledge

You're arguing the ease of gearing changes with sprockets/chains? That's usually the argument, but if the aftermarket industry really gets behind belts, couldn't the same be done for a belt system? I guess maybe kits with the different size pulleys and appropriately lengthened or shorthened belt?

    New member welcome thread..

Gotcha, just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into haha. I still haven't ridden an RR kinda bike that's ALL top end to know what only explosive top end power's like (came from a Nin250) but I chose the FZ for all the reasons you just stated haha. I actually was looking at a...
