Hearing no negative comments on here I'm going to pull the trigger on a set. My stock forks have never had the oil or seals changed at 25K miles and 9 years of riding! It is time. Seems a lot of FJR guys have used them for 30,000 miles with no issues.

It definitely varies. I'm sure the road conditions you ride have as much to do with it as anything. I'm sure out west where it rarely rains, road crowns aren't as steep. Also some areas of the country use concrete surfaces. Here on the east coast it's almost 100% asphalt.

Every front tire I've run on the FZ6 has had at least mild cupping on the left side of the front tires. It caused by tread design and the camber of the road since we ride on the right side, the left side gets more road contact. Keep the pressures up and Lean it over on some curves often...

If you don't mind the FZ6 suspension you won't mind the FZ-09 suspension. It appears they are pretty similar. That said $6500 for the FZ1 (which cost at least $8000 last year) is a HECK of a deal! I'd probably go for the FZ1
