Solid black is always the ground on 12VDC systems. The colored wire or wire with a stripe is always +12VDC

S1 with fairing is what I have done the mod to the most. If you have a naked bike there are smaller projector options. Look into Matchbox projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc. Smallest projectors available that use HID bulbs.

See to me safety was the primary reason to upgrade to these headlights. Hitting a deer or road debris or a huge pothole because my lights suck is not worth the risk when these options are out there and affordable.

Amazing to me that the O-rings in the fork caps hold that pressure. they aren't pressure rings.

I thought the same thing. Until I tested it. when I compress the tighter coiled end of the spring it compresses about twice as much as the end of the spring with the looser coils when the same force is applied on that end.

Good luck! I've had my stock exhaust for sale off and on. No one wants stock exhaust it seems, especially not for more than $40. It might be worth more as a boat anchor or scrap metal. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the comment. My 2006 main springs came out of the forks with the tighter coils on the BOTTOM and I bought the bike brand new. Either my forks were assembled wrong from the factory or the 04-06 bikes had the springs in reversed.

Here's how they turned out! I love the look and I used 5 coats. Seems like it will hold up well. Since it's rubbery it will resist chips from road debris and I can always touch it up if need be.
