    IJET's FZ6 CUP bike - Trackday photos - UPDATE

Love your bike! I've been using it as the basis for my bike, but I'm a long way off. How do you like your tank grips on the side where they're at? I had mine there originally, but moved them down slightly because I felt my leg was hitting the bottom portion of them only.

    Need advice......

I mean I think the hardest thing about pricing a bike higher because of modifications is that, at least in our bikes case, it brings the bike up into a different price bracket. The FZ6 is generally a budget bike, but if you ask $1,000 over the market value you start to get into Street Triple R...

    Need advice......

I think there's some confusion on what you mean by part out. If you mean it in the literal sense of selling the bike in pieces, that sounds like a pain. However, if you mean return to stock and sell aftermarket parts separately, you'll almost always make more money that way.

    Smokey Mountain Road Trip

I actually got pretty lucky with the traffic as well, we went through around 10 am on a Tuesday. I was surprised that I didn't really get held up by cars at all. I actually have a few photos from the Skyway overlooks as well, maybe I'll post those a bit later.

    Smokey Mountain Road Trip

I recently took a vacation down to the Smokey Mountains and figured I would get some riding in. Rather than tow my beloved 2009 FZ6 I set about figuring out what I could rent. After a very brief period of research I settled on this 2012 Triumph Street Triple R from Sportbikes4Hire. I picked...

Went for a slide on the highway

Using both brakes really kind of depends on the conditions with our bikes. Under perfect conditions, my bike will lock and skip the rear wheel from just front brake, therefor I can't use any extra rear brake over what I get from the motor. However, in the rain I'll use a bit of rear. On other...

Went for a slide on the highway

Your gear likely would have been fine, I've seen guys go down at 90 mph + and not even damage their gear. Now, if you hit a solid object, THAT would have sucked. Judging by the photos, I would probably be more concerned about how that tire is going to ride rather than how safe it might be.

    Valve Clearance ADJUSTMENT

Took mine into the shop yesterday, he checked my CCT and said that was good. He also said that my ticking noise is most likely valves, but he wanted me to just double check that my header bolts were torqued to spec first. So I did that last night and no bueno. Anyways, I'll being calling him...

    Valve Clearance ADJUSTMENT

My bike has 18,500 miles on it. Mostly back road twisty riding, but probably 1,500 miles of mid-fast paced intermediate (b group) track days too.

    Valve Clearance ADJUSTMENT

So most valves go tight, but some loosen? Mines been making more noise and if it's the valves that would mean loose right? I'm taking it into the shop tomorrow though.

    Valve Clearance ADJUSTMENT

Re: Valve Clearance ADJUSTMENT; a quick "how to" remove exh cam Are you serious? Hell, with how much used motors cost, I should almost just let my bike blow up rather than getting the valves checked. I think they may need to be adjusted now, but I don't know that I would really want to dump...

Test Rode a 2016 Speed Triple R Today

For sure, in my case I was on a road trip and was passing through the area. Figured I could stop and spend a day riding, but didn't want to tow my bike along for ten days and only ride it once.

    Top 10 Most reliable bikes

Yup, I'll be crossing my fingers. I am a bit hard on it, so I could see that playing into it being slightly less reliable than normal.

Test Rode a 2016 Speed Triple R Today

Yeah, there's a place right on US129 about 45 minutes from the gap. They rent sportbikes, touring bikes, and standards (like the streety). Home - Sportbikes4Hire Me on my rental.

    Top 10 Most reliable bikes

eh, I don't know. My FZ6 has recently developed a rather loud tick at about 18,000 miles on the odometer. I've kept up on all the maintenance and what not, but it's going to be visiting the shop soon about this tick. That being said, this will be the first time it's been in a shop since I bought...
