    Trackday... on my GROM!!

After almost a year of owning my Grom I finally made it out to a kart track with some other Grom owners. In short, it was so much fun! I can't wait to go back. My bike is mostly stock and I could definitely find the limits of ground clearance and the suspension rather easily. Those will be...

    Seat Options?

Just curious, what kind of pants/underwear do you guys wear for all day rides? I find that makes a YUUUUUGE (in Donald Trump voice) difference.

Going work with a suit dressed...

Sounds like what you really need is a car :D Some sort of oversuit is really your best bet.

    Seat Options?

I actually found a set of TechSpec tank grips was the absolute best thing I could do on my bike for comfort.

    Seat Options?

It usually has a lot to do with how you're sitting on the saddle and where you're placing your weight. That's different for everyone, thus everyone has a different opinion on which saddle is best.

Going work with a suit dressed...

Looks so convenient, as much as I hate how they look, I'm super jealous of the guy who rides to work in an Aerostich everyday. Takes him way less time to get settled than it takes me.

    racetrack Fz6 and mt9

Sweet video! I have one of me chasing a FZ09/MT09 on my FZ6 at the track, but I got the better of the FZ09.

    FZ6 on the track

I don't think R6 rearsets fit. There are aftermarket rearsets for our bikes on the market, but they're hard to come by. I purchased setback plates from a member on these forums, I believe he made them.

I have Renthal Ultra Lows, about the same height as stock but with less sweep.

Going work with a suit dressed...

https://www.aerostich.com/ It might still be a bit hard with a suit jacket though. Do they have anywhere you can at least leave your jacket? Perhaps in the same location folks put their winter jackets?

    FZ6 on the track

Here's mine at the track. The two main bits that have really made a difference is the R6 fork mod and rearset plates. The stock rearset location was really holding me back, that's literally the first thing I would take care of. Everything after that will be more incremental changes...

    Convertion to fz6n. Need kit.

Probably a good choice if you want it to be perfect. You really can't get a super clean naked look without spending a good chunk of change.

    Convertion to fz6n. Need kit.

That's because I didn't take a photo straight on. ;) When I would ride it it was super obvious that it was crooked. It wasn't where it would mount that made it crooked, it was that the headlight stay was welded together crooked and couldn't be adjusted.

Yeah it's basically a MT-03 headlight. I had the eBay one before it. It really wasn't too bad, it just wasn't centered on the bike and I could never get it to center. That really bugged me, so I got rid of it.

Wilbers Shock - inexpensive rear upgrade alternative

You mean to tell me I could have got a brand new shock for the price of a used shock? :D

    Convertion to fz6n. Need kit.

You just need a headlight that fits to some fork clamps and then something to mount your speedo. Here's a couple photos of my fork mounted headlight setup.

    Convertion to fz6n. Need kit.

Yup, I had the VS kit and the ebay kit. The ebay kit is much better than the cheap VS kit, but it still isn't the best fit. I much prefer the universal setup I have now compared to the OEM style Chinese replication.

Also look into universal stuff from companies like LSL or motodemic.

    IJET's FZ6 CUP bike - Trackday photos - UPDATE

I honestly hadn't thought of that, I have rearset plates to move mine OEM ones up and back, but I'm running the stock seat unit. It's hard to judge from the photos, but it doesn't look like my peg height is too far off from yours.
