heh talk to Antmb, that's exactly what happened to him on our way from Jersey to NC. If you keep speed and don't slow down, you should be able to make it. However in really hot humidity, you may be screwed.

i think avogt18 was the one who made some thin block off plates for the exhaust. you could always try that (just sandwhich them between the mounts and cans)

back your clothes in a 2.5 gal ziplock bag. pack them accordingly and sit on'em. It's like vacuum packing-- smell free, water proof. +1 to walking around when fueling up.

try riding up to 8k RPM and then touch the clutch lever. i think this was discussed over on the other forum. The lever was what was vibrating for many (including myself). I think someone wanted to plastic shim it, but never got around to it.

it's so close. I can almost taste it. Any tips for packing and extras to bring? Random packing tip: Use the 2.5 gallon ziplock bags. Pack them neatly and then sit on them to get the air out. Seal it up and now you've got (almost) vacuum packaging and water/smell free clothing! :)
