    I got pinched today...

This has been my experience also. Every time I have been pulled over and answered the CHP honestly when he asks me if I know how fast I was going, I either got off with a warning, or was given a very graciously reduced ticket. Like a ticket for 80 + in a 65 mph when I admitted to going over...

    Your help please

Terms and trade I don't know about, but this is the right bike for you! Buy it already  I have an '06 purchased in March '07 and have put 9,000 miles on it with no problems. (Lemme knock on some wood now )

decapitated on greyhound bus in manitoba

There is so much suspicion and mistrust. We recently moved into a new neighborhood and the community mailbox is on our property so everyone walks by our house to get their mail. I approach people as they are walking by to introduce myself and "meet the neighbors". The looks of concern as I...

    Wind Deflectors...the perfect Winter Mod!

Ouch, I guess I'll be the guinea pig. I remember reading a post from someone in this thread, but didn't really understand what they were asking  until after I made the purchase. Now I understand the question is "Will this mod work on the FZ6 version with the fairing?"...

    Wind Deflectors...the perfect Winter Mod!

Just ordered a pair. Thanks for sharing this mod. My hands were killing me last winter riding to work in the low 20s F. Even with glove liners and winter gloves. Finger hurt like h*ll and they were dead numb by the time I got to work.

Thinking about switching to a Ducati 848

I think that's for the 1098R (or race version). The regular version is only like $20K or something. You get to pick, buy a decent car or buy a Ducati 1098. The car will cost you much less in maintenance I am sure!

Thinking about switching to a Ducati 848

Yeah like reiobard said, you would have to be out of your mind to own a motorcycle with one headlight out! People would always be telling you that your headlight was out & stuff. It would be annoying! ;)

Witnessed a crazy MC accident today.

Your conclusion about 250 cc is an important one. The idea of 250 cc being a "beginner's bike" or "entry level" is dangerous. Anything that can travel at high speeds and weighs 300 + pounds can be incredibly dangerous to the rider and those around. :squid::squid::squid:

    Replacing the Face Shield

I have a silver mirrored face shield and I also have no problems with scratching. Maybe the scratching varies by manufacturer. Mine is a Scorpion. I bought it because people can't see my face and I like that. When you're ugly and you know it, there is no reason to go scaring little kids in...

Ever been laughed at for "gearing up"??

They call me "Power Ranger" often when I walk into work with my gear on. Who cares, they're just jealous because I'm the one riding a bike to work everyday and they're stuck driving their cages. :Flip:

What number is your adjustable shock set to?

Go to 11! I'm 150# naked and dry. I know TMI. I had mine stock, then read somewhere about others experiences in changing it. I set it to 5 and it was a whole different bike in the corners  WHO KNEW?

Living It Rich (for a little while)

I know it's no fun - but I would pay down my debts. It will give you long term rewards in the form of peace of mind.
