    Bike Lane

I wonder how that would work on a motorcycle? I just bought some LEDs to put on my FZ6.

An 1125R for $2500??? Should I do it???

The financial people say Harley is going to have a difficult time pulling out of the flat spin they are in - they financed too many people who really couldn't afford the payments and when the economy went south (sorry to our friends in Oz, its just an unfortunate expression here) the dealers...

    The Vectrix SBK ...

One. Electricity does not have to come from fossil fuels (solar cell-phone chargers). Two. Electric vehicles have the potential to be much quicker than gasoline because you don't have to wait for more fuel to enter the combustion chamber. Three. Once we figure out the battery storage...

    07 Swingarm swap on a 06 complete!

I am thinking about doing this mod to my '05. I know that I will need the '07 "puller chain 1 &2" (adj. blocks), do I need the '07 axel as well? Thank you.

How To: Ride In The Rain

Thank you, that was intense. The human and the machine are one. Two wheels adrift! How do you know the tire will regain traction.. or is the alternative too painful to consider. I think I need a vacation.....

    trade in my fz6 for a fz1??

Good decision (getting the Leo's and staying w/ the FZ6). You don't want to owe more than its worth on anything, especially in todays market. Buy used and let someone else deal with the depreciation when they drive off the lot. You won't have to worry about that first scratch.

    Brakeline confusion

The o.e. lines is are just rubber - they expand under pressure and you are supposed to replace them every 4 years. Wrapped aftermarket/racing lines do not expand (which gives a better feel to braking), so it dosen't matter if you have 2 or 3 lines on the front. Check out | FREN TUBO | Brakes...

Guilt Ridden and Severely Bummed out

Nothing beats being a Dad. The choice is either; rise to the occasion or try to explain ... better get the super glue out. Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad everyone gets a second chance. Mistakes compound. The curve is very steep. You have to catch it quickly, very close to the beginning...

    first fall

Glad you are alright and someone collaborated your version of events. Perception is a scary thing. Cyclegear in Knoxville is handing out bumper stickers that say "WATCH OUT FOR MOTORCYCLES! PLEASE LOOK TWICE-IT COULD SAVE A LIFE" in black/orange and white/blue.

    Safe riding

Thanks for the reminder. I have seen eighteen-wheelers on the Dragon (US 129) and they cannot make the curves without taking up both lanes. They are also slow, so I stop, enjoy the scenery and get back on when I have some time and space to play with. Always have an escape route planned.;)

    Can somebody check my math?

    I couldn't be happier with my FZ6's miles per gallon. 10/01/08 218miles 62mpg 10/18/08 208miles 54.7mpg 11/03/08 143miles(not on reserve) 52.9mpg 11/10/08 173miles(not on reserve) 51.5mpg

    Question about damaged Tank

There is a product here called "Twist A Dent" or "Ding King" that pops out small dents. You attach a pulling tab to the dent with a hot glue gun (very sticky black glue), set up a bridge to either side of the dent and then use a wingnut to pull the tab up to the bridge. Each time you do this the...

    FZ6 Engine

The first time I got on my FZ6, I couldn't believe how smooth the power delivery was. It has plenty of torque for errands around town (maintain a firm grip on the handle bars when accelerating). It is truly a different animal above 7,000 rpm. The engine "snarls" between 9-12,000 rpm. Handling is...

    Whats your mpg?

53 mpg on my last fill up. Center vs. side stand will be different, for an accurate measure do it the same way 2 or 3 times (ie. side stand untill the gas laps the center hole) and divide miles on the trip odo. by the gallons. I am 6'2" and 185#. Mileage continues to improve ('05 w/ 3,000...

    No helmet lock???

For 04-06 FZ6 motorcycles without a helmet lock, a Black Diamond "D" carabiner (for rock climbing) is easy to fit in the trunk and once you put it through the helmet's D-rings, clip it over the top frame rail (between the tank and seat mount bolt (swing the latch straight down)) and re-install...
