    Quick stops and rear brake

The rear definitely locks up easily. I've been making a point to not use the rear brake unless it's low speed. Takes some getting used to but the rear is wayyyy to easy to lock up. Jake

    Fuel Gauge Issue

I just had the same issue with mine. All bars on the fuel gauge were flashing together.... flash 8 times, few second pause, flash 8 times, repeat, repeat, repeat. My wiring to the sensor was severed.

    Fuel Tank Removal or Tilt

Thanks guys, I'll probably do this over the weekend. It sounds I shouldn't have to actually disconnec the fuel lines in order to full tilt the tank back. Anyone else have words of wisdom please post up. The more info I can get the less likely I'll break something lol. Thanks! Jake

    Fuel Tank Removal or Tilt

Would any of you who have either removed the tank or tilted it wayyyyy back give me some details and insight on how to do this successfully? I've searched the posts and haven't found any that have the details I'm looking for. I don't need to fully remove my fuel tank but do need to tilt it...

    Tire Pressure?

+1 on "It Depends". Some of this has to do with personal preference and I'd suggest you play around with tire pressure to see what you like. Your body weight, the type of riding you do all play a factor. Use less pressure in the front than in the rear though. I'm 210lbs, 33-36 Pilot Powers

    Hands Keep Falling Asleep

I try to scoot close to the gas tank and sit up a bit more straight in the saddle if I'm just cruising straight. It helps to take your weight off your hands instead of leaning on them constantly. When there's twisties I'll change to a more agressive position, then when returning to the...

    Chain Cleaner

I have always used WD40. My chain is approaching 20k miles and running perfectly. I usually do like Canadian, spraying a rag and wiping the chain off before lubing. Once in awhile I'll use the grunge brush combined with a WD soaking. A good friend who has been riding a lot longer than...

    hard 1st 2nd shift

Shifting from 1st to 2nd can be clunky, it's normal. Depending on the situation, try shifting earlier if your taking it easy or let the rpm's build up a little more before shifting if your gunning it. There's definitely an area where the 1 to 2 shift will clunk (seems like around 20mph)...

EZ Pass ... Where to mount it?

Mine has suction cups and I stick it to the back of the windscreen as far down inside as I can reach. If your only means of affixation is velcro I'd put it behind the windscreen on top of the console. That area doesn't get enough turbulence to suck the pass out if you tuck it down in there...

If you ride in your birthday suit then post your naked weight. If you wear clothing while riding then post your weight with clothing

    Sporting clarification please.

    American version of course.

I might be needing a new chain.

Out of curiosity: 1) How many miles on the chain? 2) What's your policy for clean/scrub frequency? 3) What's your policy for lube frequency?

    Lets Text While Driving.

Anyone remember back in the day when nobody had a cell phone? Hell, I work in the IT field and I don't have one. It's still about $20/month cheaper for me to use a land-line phone. Convenience? Nahhh. If anyone needs to get ahold of me they can leave a friggin message. One more comment...

Need Perfed Leather Pants Reviews Please

I'm trying to find a pair of perforated leather pants that fit. They need to be perforated or I'll never wear them here in Florida. Anyone have any suggestions for a good pair that fit well? My problem is either the legs fit and the waist is too big or the waist fits and the legs are too...

    SIDI Vertigo Boots?

I forgot to mention something about the sizing chart for Sidi boots. I have a hard time finding footwear that fits comfortably. If you buy Sidi, find the sizing instructions on their website and measure your own foot to get your size. Follow the directions... you'll trace each foot on a piece...
