Erik Buell Racing is up and running - 1190RR revealed

I always liked Buells ... but I just don't get why he keeps that front brake setup on his race bikes. I get that Buells were different from other bikes, but that huge one disk setup is in no way as good as the traditional twin radial setups ... It seems that he just can't "cut his baby's" like...

    Chris Vermeulen on the mend!

He was riding beond the level of the bike to keep up with the rest ... Sometimes a shame when good riders "fail" due to lesser bikes. I hate to see a rider going loco on a bike and have no result due to the bike.

    Chris Vermeulen on the mend!

Hope he heals up fast. The boy could use some good luck. Hope Kawa can give him a better bike in 2011.

What is your bad habit on your bike?

Speeding ... kneedowns ... but in a "safe" way. Wheelies not so much, the bike/tyres suffers to much from them.

a better brake pad than the original

EBC HH  love em. And get braided lines as well if you don't already have a set. @ Boneman : Engine braking isn't going to have such a big effect on your braking distance, it helps a bit ... but. Plus heavy engine braking is going to have extra stress on you tranny, and isn't...

    120/70 or 120/60 tires ???? advice please

Having "chicken strips" on the front is not a bad thing. It just means the tires can handle more lean angle ( your bike might not, a stock FZ6 wil drag the pegs ). Mine are gone in the front ( PP 2CT ) but this is only advisable on track, getting that kind of lean angle on the street is not...

    120/70 or 120/60 tires ???? advice please

Get your standard tire size !!! If you want a faster turn in, lower your font by putting the forks higher in the clamps. Max 10mm. If you still think it doensn't turn in fast enough, work on your counter steering. The FZ6 is a very nimble bike and fast turn in isn't really a weak point...

    Sprocket and Chain Kit

The number 520 has nothing to do with the gearing but the type of chain. The number of teeth on the sprockets do. 15T in front and standard rear is no problem for long rides.

    Suspension setup for rain

Springs will ajust the sag. So the bike is sprung correct for your weight. The "rain-setting" for suspension is not something you adjust with springs, but with the hydraulic system. If you would have a rear Ohlins (or other high end shock) and front R6 forks, you could set your bike up...

    Coolant replacement - how long?

One liter isn't enough to fill the system, so you know. I did it last weekend, didn't really flush the system. Old one out, new in. Had already done the plugs and I was fed up with working on it ... :D. What a crappy job with big hands.

    USD front end!

Front end is from an R6 or older R1 (2004 model). Master Cilinder is probably the RCS 19 from brembo, which I have one lying around the room ready to instal with my FZ1 calipers :D.
