Yes a K&N filter makes 0hp, but you get better throttle response & acceleration, I don't know about you guys but my o.e.m filter had light coating of oil on it, and an oil film inside the airbox :eek:, so yeah.... food for thought.

Notice the scoop shaped inlet on the airbox, it's like an intake tube on a car, it creates vacuum, no airbox = no vacuum, no vacuum = no torque.

I tried the same thing a few years ago, it kills all the low end power, put the airbox back on, add a K&N filter.:thumbup:

I had some flat black vinyl left over so I bit bullet and added rim stripes to the FZ6, it's not everyones cup of tea but I like it, I used 3M Scotchcal 0.5 mil vinyl rated for 10 year outdoor life.

Other than powder coating or anodizing Aluminium, all paints will need Zinc oxide based primer, or it will flake off. I do know VHT's caliper paint is designed for aluminium, no primer needed. You could buy some Scotchbrite pads and scuff sand the motor, then paint it yourself, I personally...
