It sound like your brake caliper, my cousin's Ninja 250r was doing the same thing, turns out the caliper piston was stuck causing the brake pad to constantly grind on the rotor, check the rotor for scoring, or excessive wear.

No, I don't have a how-to guide cause the time, money, research, and fabrication is beyond what most people can do. No, you can't use undertail exhaust with the R6r swingarm.

Even if you do put 06' headers on you'll still have to weld on an O2 sensor bung.

have'nt had it on the scale yet, there are no bike dyno's in a 100 mile radius.:(

What you can do is purchase headers for a 99-02 R6, then cut off the FZ6's collector (the bent pipe with the O2 sensor) and have it welded to the R6 headers.

I don't know the part number sorry, but I do know there was a change in 2005, I was in a Tokyo yamaha shop talking with a guy about my FZ6 when he said "wait here please", he came back with a pair of 05' cams & sprockets, he let me have them for 4300 Yen ($56 usd).:D

Oh, one more thing the paint is Ford Europe's Electric Orange Pearl from the 2005 Ford Focus ST.

It corners like what every FZ6 dreams about, it sits 3/4 of an inch lower and it's 3 inches shorter in the wheelbase, however the rear is STIFF, I have it set on full soft, it's harsh under 40mph, but after that it rides nice, it's not hardtail mountain bike stiff, it's like racecar coilover...

Everyone is already clueless, so far they think it's a Buell, I've had one guy ask if it was a Ducati, the other a KTM. It feels and handles like a Buell 1125cr, but has the FZ6 powerband, the larger diameter headers and short exhuast create very lopey idle when it's below 80 degrees outside...
