I've got 13600 miles on my '05 bike. I just realised that I have driven almost 7000 miles this summer. It's pretty good with weekend rides. I seldom go on any longer rides during weekdays and I don't go to work with it.

I like the lower fairing. And I have gotten used to what it looks like on my bike. I took the fairings off when I took the bike on the 20000 km service. Now I'll have to install them again but at least I can write a how-to story while at it. Here's a pic what it looks like:

This has nothing to do with bikes, but I'll ask anyway. If I'm trying to locate my relatives in England, where would be the best place to start? The last I've heard of them they were living in Fleet, Hampshire.

My guess is that you're using too big earplugs. I also use those foam plugs (the smallest size) but I always cut them in half to make them fit better as my ear canals are very narrow. Have you tried silicone 'filler' plugs?
