Michelin Pilot Road 3 are here!!!!!!

Update: BAD... I called and emailed Michellin... Only recieved this canned response: "We are sorry to hear you have experienced a problem with one of our tires. Damage to the tire, punctures, road hazards or driving on a tire that is underinflated are conditions beyond our control as a...

Michelin Pilot Road 3 are here!!!!!!

That is where the chunks of rubber are falling off the tire. The tire is literally just gooey and falling apart. I'm still sitting here on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck still... Wasn't driving too fast (85 in a 70). But it IS pretty hot today...

Michelin Pilot Road 3 are here!!!!!!

Alright... After just under 10,000 miles on my PR3's, I have one thing to say after today... STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE TIRES... Today was the first day that the temperature here in MS got above 100 degrees. So, this morning I start my daily commute from Gulfport, MS to Slidell, LA. She...

I'm really dgging my HJC RPS-10 Patriot... Plenty of air flow that can be cut off if it gets cold... Pin lock faceplate, really comfortable interior, and extremely lightweight.

    2007 fz6 fazer reaching only 226km/h

My project this week is to build a mount for my iPhone 4 to use it's video. As soon as I do that, I'll be post a vid. I'd love to get the audio as well because THAT is the funny stuff... There's a lot of of "Do da do do dooooo, do da do do dooooo, baby here I am, I'm the man on the scene, I can...

Garage door is going to die...

I rebuke your garage door in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit... As your bike walks through the valley of the shadow of death, let us not forget, there is still hope... Wait... Maybe it was "As we sail into the night, let us not forget, there is still hope..." You can...

Anyone Know First Hand Pro's & Con's of the Fz6r

Less horsepower, more plastics, and a less comfortable seat... I had this same decision to make when I bought my FZ6 last year... A 2010 FZ6R or a 2006 FZ6... After six months on the FZ6 and having ridden a few buddies FZ6R, I am glad I went with the FZ6.

    2007 fz6 fazer reaching only 226km/h

Yesterday's project was installing the Speedohealer. I haven't had a chance to bring her back up to those speeds again safely. I did do 155 mph ( 249k )before having to back off the throttle because of traffic. I'm extremely paranoid about doing any excessive speeds within eyesight of citizens...

    2007 fz6 fazer reaching only 226km/h

Hmm... I pushed mine to 260 km (162 mph) here recently on open interstate and still have a good bit of throttle left on it. Places I'd start is: Quality gas Good tune up (TB synced, clean air filter, good plugs, etc) Weight compared to other riders (I weigh 190 lbs / 86 kg) Drag - I...

    Blinkers don't work

Get you a multimeter and start at the switch.... Electrical problems are generally easy to diagnose, just time consuming. Start at the beginning and go through each circuit testing to see if you are getting power. My suggestions are: Fuse Switch on handlebar Blinker relay Harness plug on rear...

Heat Spike - Should I Be Worried?

I was thinking I ran the piss out of her... The speedo was hitting 162 mph in some areas. Now my next question is just how far off is the speedo at high speeds? I was thinking 15-20 mph. Anyone have a closer estimate?

Heat Spike - Should I Be Worried?

Alright, yesterday I did some minor work on my bike. Oiled the clutch cable, adjusted it to reduce free play, installed led brake lights on the inside of my passenger pegs (really cool effect), checked coolant levels, painted a few scratches, and checked oil and brake fluid levels...

The return of the Commodore 64

Me either... That machine was my introduction to computers. I spent countless hours dumpster diving outside of my uncle's electronics shop as a kid scavenging parts to fix mine, the data tape deck, and my fat boy floppy drive. I learned Basic at eight years old on the 64. Wrote countless text...

Michelin Pilot Road 3 are here!!!!!!

Haven't breached 10k yet, however, here they are at roughly 6200 miles in a little over two months. I drive everyday (rain, shine, cold, warm), about a 50/50 mix of highway/interstate and twisty country back roads. Last night I got caught in a crazy downpour and while I was thoroughly soaked...

    Need help finding parts!

I grabbed a pair of R6 pegs and powder coated them blue. I would recommend doing the same (but red and black of course). I did the same thing to my rear pegs.
