    Riding etiquette

Sounds like you did the right thing. I would have done the exact samt thing given the situation you described. I was going to work the other morning, and noticed a bike in front of the car in front of me. We got to a curve, and he pulled over so he could fall in with me. Looking back, he...

    Group Purchase - aftermarket exhausts

...because sometimes vanity comes at a high price, my friend. I could see having a decent muffler guy work over my existing OEM muffler and maybe find a way to tune the sound by creating a narrow point in it or much like a flute, one could actually change the pitch or creat an air flow that...

    Iron Butt: Ride and Prep!

Hmmm. and here I was wondering what my "big trip" was going to be after graduating from paramedic school... It's either go to Cozumel for a long week or just go for a "run-Forrest-run!" type ride. Doing it in February might prove meddlesomeeven if I head down to FL and shoot across the...

    Bought a Buell today!

I'd rather have an FZ1... Not a fan of twins, but this bike looks fun. I just don't ever want to walk into a Harley dealership and say the word, "I'll take that one." *pukes lol nice bike though

    FZ6 Assault! (Well, sort of,)

I got home from school this evening and after checking e-mails and eating some sushi, I really felt like riding! All work and no play, you know... I gave Ajeets a call, since he is a member here and has an '08 FZ6 and also a buddy of mine from paramedic class who also rides to see if they...

    Spark plugs??

Um I don't know about the Champion plugs they send to Cyprus, but the ones that sell here are junk! I say, use NGKs, Iridium or not, and you'll be fine. -that's a damn good plug! as for additives, there are plenty in premium fuels that negate any need for "mechanic in a bottle" type...

    the situation in georgia

That was a very astute article, Cloned... It explains quite logically why Kosovo was even Bill clinton's business, and reading the accounts has clicked a few more loose ideas of mine into place. It is not at all surprising that we as Americans are only told little bits of info, and while our...

    Looped my FZ6 last night.

LOL I always have dreams I am boffing the ex wife's friends... -and zombies... lots of zombies in my dreams. (Not sexual-zombies, man, just a mass-outbreak of them 'getting you',) Never dreamt of flipping the FZ6

    Too hot to ride?

Never surrender! lol I commute, so Im used to it, but I'll be darned if it ain't HOT! 97 here today... Wait til dusk if you can. You can always get a camelpack, or a cheapie at Wal-Mart like I did, and fill it with ice cubes and water... strap it on under your mesh jacket and snake...

    rear brake in knee-slapper?

Well, at low speed, when one has the rear end slip out, it's best to just maintain a neutral position. The rear brake locks pretty easily, so I use both brakes. It's not going to throw the bike out of control unless you're cornering hard. Then again, it's always different. Prevention is...

FZ6 your first bike? 1 helpfull tip

another thing that helped me tremendously was a little tip I picked up frm the written test for my motorcycle permit. When asked how many feet should be on the ground at a stop, they give you four options: a. two b. one c. none d. i don't remember the option, but there were four The...

Do any of you have migraines???

My wife gets them too, HA ever day and once a month a big old migraine. She has been on all different kinds of Rx, and now takes nortripyline at bedtime and has "the big guns" for when they begin. I think it's Imitrex. She's had sinus surgery, countless allergy visits, (though she isn't...

    rear brake in knee-slapper?

lol by the time your handlebars start going WHAPWHAPWHAPWHAP like that you're already out of control. Dive off it so you don't eat a footpeg.

What helmet should I upgrade to? I have the HJC-CSR1 now and I hate it...

A friend of mine just got a Scorpion for $300.00, and loves it. it has great air flow, and adjustable air bladders for the cheek guards, and also a flip down shade inside the helmet. Can't find a pic right now, but I'll tell you it looks great, all matte black and stuff.

Where do you guys legally carry your pistols?

Hmmm, idk about SC, but I know that in GA you can have a loaded pistol in your glove box or center console, but to have it in a backpack in your vehicle is considered "concealed", and warrants the ownership of a concealed carry permit. I bet if you kept one on your bike in a backpack here and...

FZ6 your first bike? 1 helpfull tip

lol you wouldn't need a battery tender if you quit stalling!! j/k, I've heard those are a good investment. Now, as for you stalling all the time... I have been on many bikes since I was 12, and even with a bit of experience, I stalled so many times with my new FZ6 in the first month or so...
