Suzuki B King what do you guys think?

they made the bking for - one year here in the states ? i don't recall, but that's something to consider for parts. another thing to consider is to just get a hayabusa and strip it, put dirt bike bars on it, 8" headlight, and enjoy the ergos. busas are everywhere, parts plentiful, and...

    0-206 km/h

over here, that's 60mph vs 127mph, give or take a little. with some fancy online calculators.... 60mph = 117feet to stop completely (these are car numbers) 127mph = 539 feet to stop completely (again, car numbers) a good friend and co-worker left his first skid mark 537 feet (gps...

    First ride of 2012

i might recommend the contour camera instead. some of their models have LASERs for alignment, remote controls, and accept AA batteries. the HERO2 has faults: still no wifi-viewing still no 90/127/170 field of view settings still no AA battery option it's like buying an iphone (gopro)...

    steering issue

suspend the entire bike from the handlebars and sub-frame.... then loose the triples so the fork tubes can slide up/down easily. spin each tube by hand, and watch where the fork seals are, there should be no 'wobble' percieved, or you have a bent tube= do not ride slowly lower the...

    First ride of 2012

the music (if it's considered that by anyone) just seemed to fit the portion coming out of the garage, then it kinda stuck. the crampbuster is grrrrrrrrreat for me on 3-4 hour rides. keeps my glove from bunching and (with engine revs) causing numb-thumb. glad you liked the following...

Test rode the FZ8 and FZ1, and impressions vs. the FZ6

i haven't tried the fz8 yet, and would like to. the fz1 felt so relaxed, so much torque and less rev-happy. very very comfortable. easily 500 miles/day on the fz1. the fz6 makes me tired in 3-4 hours of riding, and uncomfortable in 7-8. as far as not wanting to ride the fz6, i dunno. i rode...

    First ride of 2012

Just a quick ride on one of my favorite local roads. 720p @ 60fps, followed a ninja650r on sicard hollow for a little while, the split off. Embedded gps points for a couple of spots if anyone local wants to try it out. Ride on ! 2012 First Ride FZ6 - YouTube (hit the 720p version and...

Back from War, and loving my bike more than ever! (Have some Q's)

tire pressure chain slack and lube wheel bearings change oil/filter bleed/purge brakes gas ride 12K is nothing. if you feel guilty while you're out there on the road, you could stop at a ducati dealer and see how much other bikes cost ;-) and continue your almost free ride on the yammi...

    Bad running fz6

i'd make sure the wiring harness and TPS was perfect, then pull the fuel injectors and soak them in PB Blaster for three days, then check their spray pattern. 2 years' old fuel = gummy gunk give pb plaster a chance on anything that's stuck/carbon'd, it's a great penetrant.

technically not a motorcycle but DAMN!!!!!

hmmm.... your toes will suffer the wrath of a million pebbles from the front tires. your eyes will suffer the wrath of a million dirty rain drops from the front tires lack of a real fender. you get to replace tires 2 times as often. you -have- to replace both back tires at once...

Fuel Grade (regular, mid-range or premium)

why force the bike into a bad situation ? just run it within reason and enjoy 100,000 miles or so of fun ? i'd guess the fz gets maintenance along the same regularity as other bikes priced similarly, and there are very few problems reported here. we could test the oil every 400 miles, put...

    last vid highway 181

the point of 98 hp, is it's 98 hp. ninety-eight horsepower. speed limits ... mmm... ya, about 95% of the time. scooters, oh man, scooters are a freaking BLAST to ride, but i've never ridden one on a racetrack, so no personal experience.
