    Best Cities in the World

I think that there is a problem here. They have accidentally replaced the "best city to live in" list with the "cities with the highest cost of living and worst traffic" list. Fred

    Help. Can't locate fuse

The main fuse is on top of the battery. If it was blown, the bike would not work at all. So that's not your problem. You've checked all the fuses, and they are all good. Move on to looking for other problems. In this case, the two items that don't work are the two items that you added...

Nice job! Until I read your post, I thought that this was just pictures of a trailer that you bought. It looks very professional. Fred

    Small air compressor?

I had a Harbor Freight air compressor like this one. It was underpowered and slow. One time I left it plugged in and it almost set my house on fire after the motor stalled. Now I have a Husky brand compressor from Home Depot. It's a 33 gallon tank, and it has worked perfectly for years. If...

    Turbo FZ6 at Texas Mile????

That's really well done! The fiberglass airbox is especially impressive. And I love the muffler bypass. Fred

    Turbo FZ6 at Texas Mile????

The light bulb just went on for me. I had thought that you had the turbo low mounted at the 90 degree bend just behind and below the transmission. I see it's actually much higher than that. At the spot I had been thinking of, gravity drain would not have worked, which is why I asked...

    A legal nightmare in Oregon

I punched my girlfriend in the head while I was sleeping. I was having a nightmare where I was fighting something, then was woken up by a very angry woman with a sore skull. So yes, it can happen.

    4th battery = Electrical charging fault ?

When you're getting the voltage readings, where you have the voltmeter connected? Ideally, you should be on the battery terminals. I'm asking this because if you're reading from the frame and a positive wire somewhere on the bike, then you might be seeing a problem due to a dirty connection...

So, like seriously, there's no one in Austin that owns a FZ6?

Well, there's me, Hellgate and Rider1a. Then there's Killbane in San Antonio, and a few other people in outlying areas. Plus there's a couple of other Austin riders that I have not met yet. Once a year we get together and run the Twisted Sisters in Leakey, TX. But other than that, you're...

Yeah I do this, except that I'm usually looking in the mirror instead. Fred

    Idle Sync Observations

Right you are. I had never traced the lines, just made an assumption based on Yamaha saying to set Cylinder 1 to a specific vacuum. I just looked at the manual and I see the lines that you're talking about. Thanks for setting me straight on this. Fred

    Idle Sync Observations

That's the video that Hellgate and I made. I learned the high RPM synch trick on old air cooled BMW engines. With only two large cylinders, any synchronization difference was very noticeable. Synching at high RPM improved things greatly. You raise a couple of good points. 1. The synch...
