    Opinion on engine tick?

The FZ6 is based on the R6 which is a racing design, so it's meant to be revved to get the best power from it, however that does make it "buzzy" too, so that may be what you're feeling. If the throttles haven't been balanced recently (or at all) that may contribute to this. Also, have you...

    Keyless ignition

I've heard of people "shorting" the ignition and adding a secret starter button somewhere on the bike, but I'm not sure how well it works. You would probably need to get an immobiliser bypass too.

    Need Help Crashed fz6 2007

Definitely strip everything down and check for damage/ bending that might not be easily visible. If the forks have been bent, it may have also damaged the triple tree or where that attaches to the frame, so check carefully for any signs of cracking or even just wrinkled paint.

    Opinion on engine tick?

You're welcome. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask :) Nobody in here's going to laugh at you because you're still learning. Just below your your right knee there's a cover which has a circular section (about 3 cm in diameter from memory) with a slot in the middle. That cover...

    Opinion on engine tick?

That sounds like the Yamatick. The best way to check is to use the old mechanics trick of getting a long screwdriver and putting the tip against the right hand side of the engine, just above the timing chain cover. Put your ear against the handle and move the tip around until the noise is...

Need Help Lowkey hopping at low speed

The chain will always tend jump about a bit if you're running it without any weight on the rear wheel. Try taking the front sprocket cover off (you can wiggle it out without needing to remove the diagonal clutch push rod), then feel between the teeth of the sprocket and see if you feel a "lip"...

Need Help Lowkey hopping at low speed

I replaced the OEM fork springs with Hyperpro progressives which give better control through the bends and less dive under firm braking. If you really want to go the whole hog you can get cartridge emulators or do the R6 fork swap. There's posts elsewhere on here that will give more details.

Need Help Lowkey hopping at low speed

Compared to a cruiser, the FZ6, being a Sport/ Tourer, is going to feel firmer at the front. Compared to others, especially sport bikes, it's soft.

Need Help Lowkey hopping at low speed

I agree that GT tyres are probably the wrong choice for the FZ6. Road 6's are good tyres, so maybe just swap them over (you can probably get a good second hand price on the old ones if they've barely been used). What tyre pressures are you using? I have Bridgestone T31s and use 36/42 psi. I'm...

    Shaky at low speed

Firstly put the bike up on the centre stand and have someone push down on the rear to get the front wheel off the ground (or use a weight) Take hold of the front wheel and try to pull it forwards and backwards or twist it from side to side to see if there's any play or the headset is loose...

    FZ6 ECU Flashing -- Possible?

You can use a Power Commander or similar to override the stock ECU without needing to risk flashing it.

Need Help Lowkey hopping at low speed

Try taking it up to eg 50kmh on a straight, smooth piece of road, then throttle off, put it in neutral and let it slow down naturally. Loosen your grip on the bars until you're only just holding them, but with almost no pressure. When the sensation starts, are you feeling it through the bars...

Have a look at the DOT number on the side. First two numbers are the week of manufacture, second two are the year, so 0126 would mean they were made in the first week of this year. Just because they're "new" on, doesn't mean they're actually new tyres!

S2 Crank but no start. Low d09

Did you have any luck with push starting? Also did you try starter fluid through the airbox?

I can't tell if that's the OEM rear shock, but have you checked the suspension sag? (Lots of How To videos online) If you're used to a soft cruiser and this is set up much harder, you'll probably be feeling sensations that you're not used to.

    Yes, that's correct.

Did anyone else have problems accessing the site in the last day or two? I kept getting an error message from Cloudflare :(

S2 Crank but no start. Low d09

Before you start worrying too much about the Error 12 or replacing the crank position sensor, you should be aware that the ECU loves throwing that code when the battery is down on power and it's been the cause of many a completely unnecessary CPS replacement! I did suggest you try push-starting...
