There are different views to this and it depends what year your bike is. I take off the 2 inner fairings and lift the tank from the front. By doing that I know I am not fouling the fuel lines. Other people remove the bolt near the pilots seat and slide the tank back. I have a 2006 ...

This is totally correct but having said that if the FZ6 has a teaspoon of power in it then you can bump it off. This must be the worst bike on the planet for having so little battery power in reserve. Steve

Personally I would always choose hard luggage mainly for the security aspect. When we park up we can get most of our riding gear into the boxes so we can walk around in shorts, t-shirts and trainers. We wire our jackets and helmets to the bike. We can also get all the boxes off in under 30...

I have KAPPA top box and panniers. Great boxes which hold loads of gear and are very strong and secure. Steve
