It's a whole different mindset riding w/ Sportbikes as opposed to Cruisers on the FZ6. Glad you had fun! Your next ride with cruisers will seem boring!:D

I had the same annoying problem. In my particular case I DID change out the steering head bearings and the problem is now gone. FWIW.

I have the Tall OEM windscreen, Givi tall windscreen and the stock windscreen. They all kinda suck, actually. The Talls both take wind off my body causing less fatigue while on longer rides compared to the stock windscreen. They both direct air under my helmet causing a loud roar, especially...

Go back to that deserted road and DO it! I do a few times a week(at least to 13k) as I run through the gears.The bike seems to love it and so do I! Top speed not recommended in traffic.

No nothin in 6 years as an owner of an FZ6. I always lock the steering and use my disc lock most of the time, There are so many more expensive bikes around here to steal, that I think the thieves leave mine alone. ( I'm touching wood and rubbing a rabbit's foot right now,though)

Wash, polish, wipe-down constantly.(My FZ6, that is). I like my bike clean.
