google Shad Topcase and rack for your 05 Fazer. Least intrusive toprack on the market when the topcase is removed and they have a variety of well-priced, good looking topcases available.

If the tires are the originals from new, I'd replace them both.Tires not only wear out, they also die of old age, so to speak. (they harden up as they get older). You'll find new rubber on both ends much, much nicer.
