    How old are you?

    30. Starting riding officially when I was 23. Could have gotten my license when I was 18 but played punk on some things in my life. Before long, rode an R1 07 and couple of bikes that burns my interest. As I couldn't keep maintaining my R1 due to costs, a friend recommend the FZ6. It's been with...

    Opinions on bad fuel economy

Thanks guys. I'll keep note and clean the necessary stuffs before replacing the seals. Never did one before on seal or piston replacement on my own. Prolly will take me a few hours doing both front. Thanks much! Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    Opinions on bad fuel economy

Thanks for the advice and wisdom. I have done pressure bleeding for the front brakes before but no air trap inside. I'll properly try to clean the rust in the pistons/ calipers without breaking them apart with the seals. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    Opinions on bad fuel economy

I tried the front spin it's about 1/4-1/2. I do see one of the pistons at the front were rusted and so I might do a quick clean on them. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    Opinions on bad fuel economy

Normally I change up to 3rd-5th gear on the highways and 1st-3rd gear on the street. However, I try to maintain throttle on my highest gear in both conditions 5-6k the most. Is there an issue? I was wondering whether the ABS system or wheel bearing had to do with the consumption as well...

    Opinions on bad fuel economy

Thanks y'all for sharing. I just find it quite mysterious on what are the setbacks for the bad fuel economy. The bike mileage was 10400km. Thus, due to the long mileage I decided to do the valve clearance and etc required. No burnt fuel or etc after a ride. I left the bike to the mech for the...

    Opinions on bad fuel economy

I'm riding a FZ6 S2 2008. It's been two weeks that I went for a valve clearance (change timing chain, tensioner, gasket, coolant), clutch plates on my ride and a new battery. Oh, I changed to new metzeler z6 Roadtech front and rear. There's slight improvements on the fuel consumption which...

    Race tech springs

Sorry to hijack the post. I ordered hyperpro streetbox (front fork springs +rear shock) for my ride and was wondering whether is it possible for me to install the race tech emulators in the front forks since I be using hyperpro springs. Was checking on the Web for preload adjusters as well and...

Modular flip up helmets: Caberg Tourmax vs HJC IS-Max 2

Thanks, I believe I'll get the HJC helmet for this one. [emoji106]

How to clean matte colours/ graphic helmet?

Been years since I last owned a matte helmet and was planning to get one of the HJC matte graphic flip up helmets. I am unsure whether getting one in grey or white graphics. I have to admit it's harder to clean a matte helmet than gloss for the outer shell. Any cheap solutions other than the...

cdi dead in yamaha fz6 fazer S2 (europe model)

This is the first time I see the stomach of the beast for the S2 model. I suggest if you manage to get your bike up and running. Try record the sound if possible at different angles and on the road. Wish I could help a fellow S2. Does the idling died out of the blue or it gets erratic at first...

Magnetic sump plug, not worth the packaging it came in.

Seems like a good investment for a regular Fisher. These are costly ere plus tax, parking, yearly commission and etc. It's good to know that some of the things can be used for bikes and boats. There's no canals but sewages mostly on the mainland. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    Sprocket mods Fz6 s2

Yeah, would love to see real world testing too on the different sprocket ratios on fuel economy. Currently send in my bike for valve clearance (new tensioner, valve chain & etc) and clutch plate (new friction plates as inform the rest are fine) change. Told the mech of the fuel issue and he told...

Magnetic sump plug, not worth the packaging it came in.

Nice, thanks for the info. Will look into it for the oil filter. I don't really use any magnetic sump plug on my ride, but reused my old strong tankbag magnets and stuck it on the normal oil filter. It feels effective that way as recommended by a few friends and mechs here. A frequent boatman...

    Sprocket mods Fz6 s2

Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of the setup of 17t 46t and 17t 47t. Judging from the current 47t rear sprocket, it could last me another year. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    The thrill is gone

I have been riding for 10 years and owned a handful of bikes before from 150cc to 1000cc. Test ridden a few rides and decided to stick to Fz6 as recommended by a friend. It's currently being used in traffic school so what the heck. It's not as grunty as the ole R1 I had but it does meet the...

There's one local dealer that is selling this but ain't sure it's the same company that you have listed. Just to check what what do you use to remove it? The standard oil filter wrench? Also, for the cleaning do you use petrol or etc? Thanks!

Modular flip up helmets: Caberg Tourmax vs HJC IS-Max 2

I had done some research on these two flip up modular helmets and would like to check with you guys which is the best. Caberg tourmax has a 5 Star Sharp rating but ECE approved whereas the HJC IS-Max 2 is 4 Star Sharp rating and DOT approved. I'm looking at Tourmax but didn't catch any locals...
