It does improve the quickness of turn in and I think you will like it. I wouldn't be tempted to go past 10mm though, the bike begins to feel unpredictable if you go much past that. I am currently at 8mm now and I like it there, I also am using hyperpro lowing springs.

Considering they have them and you don't have to do anything but ride up and leave with new tires I would say it is a good price. you might save 30 bucks or so by ordering online, removing and trucking your wheels to a dealer and back but doesn't seem worth it for $30.
