+1 for the fairings. Paniers: - Cortech are used by many people here - "Oxford first time panniers" is what I used If you're going to be touring a lot, condider the hard luggage. I miss the touring cababilities of my FZ6....and I only appreciated it's ability to tour when I got the CBR. HTH...

No the dealer is right about the new water based paints, but I can't see what that has to do with the clear coat damage. Unless you provoked the damage you shouldn't accept paying anything. It is strange that it was damaged so easily. Pics would shed some light though.

Got an RF1100 with the same ear pockets and never had such a problem. Honestly, this is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard for helmets :)

I would replace rotors when they got warped or got visible cracks on it. Good question. I'd like to hear more technical opinions from people that know a few more things though... P.S. Rust usually goes away with braking. It needs to be very nasty to impair the contact of the pad & rotor. EDIT:
