    Looking for riding books/info....

I think this should be a sticky for all new and experienced riders. That's why I post the as PDF files, so they can be available all the time on this forum. HTH

    Subaru Cosworth

lol...that's not a valid argument anymore is it? :BLAA: I mean with all the screw ups in the last couple of years....I barely find any courage to walk in close distance from a Toyota showroom in fear it could pull me in for a recall or something.... J/K

    Looking for riding books/info....

I remember reading articles on safe road riding I found after a google search. One web page particularly was great. Let me see if I can try and find it for you.

Time to build me an FZ6 Touring bike! Help!

+1 for the fairings. Paniers: - Cortech are used by many people here - "Oxford first time panniers" is what I used If you're going to be touring a lot, condider the hard luggage. I miss the touring cababilities of my FZ6....and I only appreciated it's ability to tour when I got the CBR. HTH...

    MotoGP Round 4 - Mugello

Well, I am a one-eyed Rossi fan :) And honestly, this was not bad luck. It was an error he shouldn't have made and he's paying for it. BUT WHO THE HE.. WILL I SUPPORT NOW? Noooooooooo :( I really hate Jorge, even if he's a very good rider. I guess it's something about him that reminds me a snob...

    Subaru Cosworth

At 50.000 quid, I'd be saving some more money. I could imagine myself in a Skyline GTR.... heh Seriously though, the STi is amongst the cars that attract people that are into tuning. The difference between 320hp and 400hp is SAFELY do-able with less money. This is not a "tuner's" car IMO. It's...

    Brand new FZ6 S2 .. damaged paint..

In my humble opinion: 1) the 2-3 horizontal small scratches is probably something you did 2) the marring is DEFINITELY not your fault, unless you tried to clean something up with a rotary polishing machine. I think it could be fixed with a polishing machine. Just ask an independent detailer so...

    MotoGP Round 4 - Mugello

Yes CCHOUSEKY, you got that right :)

    Brand new FZ6 S2 .. damaged paint..

No the dealer is right about the new water based paints, but I can't see what that has to do with the clear coat damage. Unless you provoked the damage you shouldn't accept paying anything. It is strange that it was damaged so easily. Pics would shed some light though.

    Shoei XR(RF)-1000 and ear dirt

Got an RF1100 with the same ear pockets and never had such a problem. Honestly, this is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard for helmets :)

Now THIS is what I've wanted!

I'd rather crawl to the tyre and go spend that money on wome....eerr...sorry. Beer.

gruesome discovery...I feel raped by my dealership

I wouldn't use tires that are more than 2-2.5 years old. Never. I can have fresh rubber for the same price. Why accept the older ones?

    Time for new brake rotors?

I would replace rotors when they got warped or got visible cracks on it. Good question. I'd like to hear more technical opinions from people that know a few more things though... P.S. Rust usually goes away with braking. It needs to be very nasty to impair the contact of the pad & rotor. EDIT:

    Only in America...

Live by the sword, die by the sword That's how I see it. I served in the army, so it's not that I am afraid of guns. It's a matter of philosophy for me. I can't really imagine a whole country, where everyone can carry and be trained sufficiently. Yet everyone has the right to a gun.
