I had the same type of situation only the 05 I was looking at had 3800 miles for $4800. I personally thought that was a little high and offered $4000 (no dice). I opted to get a brand new 07 out of the crate for $700 more. Hope this helps a bit. Locations can vary.

Thanks... I saw those discussed as well, but I think the diameter of those lights is a bit smaller. Just doing some research before I do anything.

At one point I considered buying a street triple until I came across a much better deal for a new 07 FZ6. I am still drawn to the naked look and like the street's headlights. I have seen the other after market (buell like) assemblies, but would like a little bit more up there. My question...

Sounds like I am not the only one who has suffered this. I will stretch, take my vitamins, eat my bananas, work out with my girls hoola-hoop and finally (most importantly) ride more. :D Will report back on how my therapy works....

:eek: my first post here .... I had the same problem finding a bike. All local dealers within a reasonable distance were out of all 07 & 08's. I found another WI dealer with two new 07's left and I just grabbed the Blue one. I like the blue 07 anyway. I believe the red one is now on Ebay...
