Reinstalled my Cee Bailey 24" touring windshield and went for a cold ride (45F). It really deflects a ton of cold air and helps keep me comfortable for longer in the early spring while quieting the wind. Heated grips can only do so much.

You have the Q3 now then? I share your opinion also. They are confidence inspiring even in the chilly early spring weather. The Fizzer isn't a torque monster so why not stick to soft sport bike tires and enjoy them? Please share your thoughts on the Q3+ after you have a chance to scrub them in.

Cool. I love seeing pics of your Italian steed, too. I get my tires and mounting done at CycleGear and pick up various small stuff like chain wax. They're good to have around locally and deserve support vs getting everything online.

I've caught my left fork cap leaking a couple of times since replacing the main fork seal. I used teflon tape on the cap threads and that seemed to help. After a 40 mile ride this morning I've found it's still leaking slightly. There's traces of fork oil around the compression adjustment screw...

Sounds like a stack of washers was added to preload the spring. Glad it's allowing you to get by until you get the track weapon you want.

V8 controller Oxford heated grips are working well. 30 miles in 50F temps @ 75% worked well. It's so nice to already be riding with my preferred leather gloves instead of bulky and clumsy winter gloves. The Andreani fork cap is now staying sealed with the teflon tape on the threads this time. :D

Feels great especially when paired with a shock upgrade. Adds a lot of confidence in the corners and sorts out most sections of poor roads.

Check out the Nolan N104. It's a popular modular helmet that I find is roomy around the face. Field of vision is huge. Some online retailers have free returns or you could ask that your local shop order in for you.

Sweet. That would really make the bike stand out. Aftermarket cans would be required- it would be a crime to have that engine and barely be able to hear it.

I just fire mine up then get the earplugs, helmet and gloves on. By that time it's usually over 100F, maybe 130F and fine to ease off. How is it at 12K RPM after warmup? ;)

Eek. That's a "Rip-off Britain" price. Looks like a great practical bike. Hopefully the throttle response isn't anything like early FZ09s. I wish Yamaha would come out with a 4 cylinder crossplane tourer. An FJ-10 I guess.
