The 2011 Rugby World Cup Thread

England didn't turn up for their quarter final. France upped their game but England were just awful. Wales Ireland was a great match. Wales looking solid and could go all the way to the final. I reckon they've got what it takes to beat the French!

Moving to The Hague and taking the FZ6 with me!!!

So you're going to import your bike? Good luck with that...more hoops to jump through than you'd find at a dog agility trial. Be prepared for expense, paperwork and having to change various bits on your bike.

    Removing front wheel...

An alternative to the special spindle tool or a threaded rod long nut, is simply to use a bolt with a 19mm head and screw two nuts onto it. Put it in the axle and use a socket wrench to undo. I didn't think it was necessary to remove the calipers though...? EDIT: I can see the benefit of...

    Traffic light magnets

I've heard some people have success just putting their side stand down, which triggers the lights....not sure if it always works though.

    Question about 2005 vs 2007

Your headlights will fit, the mounting points are all the same too. Stumbling block is that your speedo won't fit. 04 - 06 models have the round clocks, 07+ models have the analogue rpm clocks. Other than this, the 05 fairing looks old compared to the 07+! I have an 06 and would love to swap...

Le Tour de France - anyone into it?

Glad to see my original prediction of Cavendish winning on the Champs Elysées came true! World's best sprinter! Congrats to Evans too, who rode an amazing time trial yesterday in Grenoble. He's been training so hard for it, and is a top bloke who thoroughly deserved the win. This years...

What would you "upgrade" your FZ6 to?

I've been thinking about this lots lately. My Fazer is starting to get a little tired, and I must say a little boring :spank: :ban: I've had her for 3 years now, and she was my first road bike after passing my test. I've got no regrets at all, she's been great at everything. When I manage to get...

Video of Eurotrip 2011 with Cali Rider

Nice one David! So far so good, and you've done a great job showing off France - it's a beautiful country! I've been to most of the places in the vid so far, except Colmar and Strasbourg, but I happen to be off to there next weekend! Cali Rider seemed so surprised about parking on the...

import a US model into France

Hi Michael, I didn't have any problems getting the form showing the tax was paid. The frustrating thing is it seems to vary from region to region! The guy I did it with didn't seem to know much about it, and even questioned if I needed it. Get it though just in case. Never heard anything...

Le Tour de France - anyone into it?

I usually get into it when it's the mountain stages. It's incredible that these guys cycle over 250kms everyday for three weeks with only a couple of days rest. That's endurance! Of course, all those drugs help I'm sure! :BLAA: I'll probably go and watch the finish on the Champs Elysées...

How do I tell what seat my 09 came with?

The pic at the bottom of the thread's first page? If yours is like the left one in that pic, it looks like a normal stock seat to me, not the comfort one. If you can take a pic of yours and post it it would help.

DuPont Degreaser + The Grunge Brush

Nice job! Did you take off the front sprocket cover and clean in and around that area? You'll find a lot of crud gathers around there! You can over do it with the lube, but it won't directly damage anything. It'll hurt your wallet as you end up buying more than you need, and means more...

    The Squid Test

Ha ha! Funny! So far, 18486 people (including you) have responded to this Squid Test Survey and have been tabulated. Of those responses, the average grade is 53. Your grade was 76 (from 0 to 100), and 0 out of the 115 questions were left un-answered. The average number of questions...

Playing with sport bikes and super motos.

Positives: Nice roads, lovely weather, beautiful scenery and some nice bikes. Oh, and amazingly no one appeared to be killed. Negatives: too many to list!!! Slow down for pedestrians and other road users, and stay on your side of the road. Don't expect too much respect on this forum if you...

    Paris Motorcycle Protest

True indeed to some extent. The country is very divided politically and I don't think it's fair to say that all the French support the decisions of the government at all. Sarkozy is deeply unpopular anyway, but in general the French hate the government trying to control civil liberties (a little...

    Paris Motorcycle Protest

I didn't go to it, but wish I had! There's all sorts of stupid law changes being proposed. They tried to make lane splitting illegal last time and the same protests happened - it worked and they cancelled that idea. This time around it was for removal of radar warning signs, but also against...
