    TomTom Rider 2 Review

I had a Zumo then went for a Rider 2. I prefer the look of the Rider's 3-D display. My requirements are quite simple - punch in a postcode and go there. I've never used the bluetooth headset (can't hear it over my Devils lol). Not denying your observations about the Rider's menus, though...

    Tall Windshield Advice Needed

I've just installed the tallest Cee Bailey's and still have some wind noise, too. Let us know if and how you manage to sort it; I will, too. I'm thinking maybe adjusting the handlebars down just a bit so my helmet drops into the quiet zone behind the screen?

Near miss - 2 lane roundabout

Great write-up, Jez, this is a danger scenario I always try and watch out for. Thanks for reminding us all about it. My other danger scenario is when filtering past stationary or slow moving traffic, a vehicle stops to let another out of a left turn wanting to go in the opposite direction...

    Tall Windshield Advice Needed

And Cee Bailey's: Yamaha FZ6 2007 & UP Replacement Windshield - Our latest 2007/up Yamaha FZ6 windshield takes up where the factory shield left off. See it on my bike, with comments: http://www.600riders.com/forum/uk/25410-cee-baileys-taller-screen.html

    Cee Bailey's taller screen

Lots of threads elsewhere about the pros and cons of taller screens, it seems a very subjective matter, so I'll confine myself to recommending a supplier of Cee Bailey's screens here in the UK if you want to go that way. Sportouring Bike Accessories Great service, good price and prompt...

I'm a girly man and need your help!

+ 1. I wear one of these (below) as a neck tube and pull it up onto my chin, so the helmet strap goes over the material and so protects my skin. Buffwear - Buy a Buff - Ways To Wear

Acerbis Dual Road Handguard - help!

Yes, they fitted fine - I just needed the confidence from reading on this forum that others had succeeded for me to get on with it! Pictures below. I've had them on for a while now without any problems. Yes, they do hit the fairing at the last few mm of full lock, but they bend easily...

Now there's something you don't see every day!

Know it well - my mother lives in the town adjacent, Amesbury. Way back before the travellers/police standoffs in the '80s, we used to walk up before dawn on Summer Solstice to see the sun come up and the Druids do their thing. Raid: it's still believed by many that some of the rocks were...

to riders with handguards and front fairing

Yes, my handguards do contact the fairing on full lock but the handguards are flexible so they a) bend to allow full contact and b) so don't damage the fairing. You're right, though, it's an important thing to check before fitting.

    That's it .............I quit !

+ 1 on that. I've just started working 3 months notice, I can hardly motivate myself to work at all, don't know how I'm going to make it to Christmas.

Indeed. http://www.geton.co.uk/ Problem is, not many people know about this yet.

    Speed cameras

When I lobbied the Tory transport team a couple of years ago they were turning against speed cameras then but the problem is, as you say, it's seen more as a quick-win vote-winner rather than as part of a well thought-through transport strategy.

Do you have a prefered cornering side???

Funny, when I did a run of trackdays a few years ago, I was more happy with rights than lefts, but now on the roads I'm happier with lefts. I think the fact that most tracks here in the UK run clockwise i.e. there are more righthand corners than lefts, so I got more practice doing rights, had...
