~~Daily Feed, post what made you laugh today ~~

At first I thought it might be a GEICO commercial, but then I realized it was be a PSA for determining your friction zone. :D Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

    Outpatient Surgery with anesthesia

Best of luck with your surgery, but anytime anesthesia is involved liability is lurking close by. Surely you must know someone who can provide the requisite aid necessary. Everyone is affected to a different degree, but the rules have to govern everyone. On the other hand, a professional escort...

    Should I buy this bike?

I would be more concerned about what type mishaps this bike had suffered. It is paramount to know that you will be safe riding it. :) Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

    Stuck oil filter

+1 on the K&N, I made a bit of a mess the first time I changed my oil with the factory filter. :banghead: Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

    Check out this touring bike!

They might be for their trip in to NYC in case they run into any of those hooligans and feel like they need to wheelie with the sportbikes and quads. :don'tknow:

Car hit while parked in front of my house

Personally, I have always been in favor of a comprehensive driving test every so often, just to evaluate someone's ability, you know like an obstacle course with trash cans :D But the truth is that more licensed drivers mean more cars and more revenue for everyone, including the insurance...

    Considering the FZ6

My mpg is around 30 as well, but I have to admit that I have an addiction to listening to the engine wind up a bit between shifts.:steve: I bought my 08 new in 2009 and have had very little maintenance expenses, of course mods are a different story.:spank:

    Greenish oil, smells like fuel???

Clutch adjustment and lubrication may help with the gear transitions. My first gear is still abrupt, but the rest are smooth. ;)

Boots n Shoes when you commute

IMO I would invest in a good pair of walking shoes and walk to work. As you mentioned, 2km is a very short distance to ride and warm the bike, unless you perform full warmup (which I am guilty of not always doing ). Enjoy your longer weekend rides with level of protection that you feel...

Car hit while parked in front of my house

Pictures????? With no fault insurance your company always pays to fix your car, but they may go after the other driver's insurance company to recoup some of the damages and possibly your deductible. You may want to get an estimate before filing any claim because your rates may increase. I...

Car hit while parked in front of my house

I had the same thing happen to me at my apartment when I was in college. I drove around town and found the offending vehicle, but the police listened to me but really were not going to do anything. At this point it becomes more of an aggrevation, because I did not have any comprehensive...

Did I burn my starter - Cage question

Another thought, does your engine have a timing belt running to the cam as well as the accessory belt? I had the experience once when it was cold (in Michigan's U.P.) that the geared timing belt jumped a tooth because of temperature and would not start until we loosened the belt tensioner and...

Did I burn my starter - Cage question

I take it your car has an automatic trans, but at 182k miles that means many starter cycles. The smell might have been coming from the starter since it apparently had sufficient voltage, but cannot fully engage or rotate flywheel. As long as your a/c is not on it should not be a problem for the...

    Motorcyclist=better drivers

Since I started riding on the street, I have always believed that the combination of being a rider and an alert driver makes one a more complete motorist. Now, can my insurance rates be reduced - please? :shakehead:

    Stoner showing how it's done....

This maybe true, however physicality is the minor component to doing most things well. What you and the rest of us missed was the opportunity to gain the Experience. Few people are gifted to be able to perform at a high level out of the gate. They are Naturals in whatever endeavor they elect to...

    Front caliper bolts stuck

Just throwing this out there, but have you thought of using an air tool? Impact sockets are 6 pt and will bite on the offending fastener. I have a pancake air compressor for my nail guns and some inexpensive air tools from Lowes. They won't break loose a front wheel bearing (on a cage), but can...

    Mods on a 2008 Yamaha fz6 s2

As a newer rider, and I apologize if this is not the case, I would not be too quick to jump to a liter bike. The FZ will take some time to explore. After 5 years of mostly commuting I am still learning how far I can push it while trying to stay within limits. IMO Sent from my DROID RAZR HD...

~~Daily Feed, post what made you laugh today ~~

Thanks for the info. I did not know that, but it makes sense because there seems to be a large number of these videos out there. I mean where else do you have to yield to a tank on your daily commute? Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
