MY FZ6 Gave Up the Ghost! Now what?

If I had the money for it and needed to replace the FZ6, I would be all over the black 848 Evo.

    Another OSO2K Setback Plate installation

I've ridden my bike nearly every day since I got my setback plates from the first run, and have had zero problems. Haven't had a chance to take them to the track yet though, just around town, mountain twisties, and a couple 5-600 mile days.

    shifter/brake feel

I wear a size 12 and don't have a problem fitting my boot in there, I adjusted the lever as shown and wear these: Cycle Gear - FRANK THOMAS: Urban Stunt Motorcycle Boots, BLACK

Fitting my Pyramid Plastics Extenda Fenda

I have a fenda extenda coming along with my new fender and plan on using the ABS epoxy to attach it as well. If it falls off I will let everyone know. Hopefully that will not be the case.

    Yamaha aftermarket exhaust?

It looks like the Ixil exhaust, just with different brand plates. Not that that is a bad thing, I like the Ixil.

    Race Fairing on the road...?

I thought the whole point of race fairings was to remove the headlight, so you didn't have to tape it off at the track?

    Awesome deal on tires...

Cheapest I could find a front Metzeler M5 was at kneedraggers.com. With shipping it came out to be $135.92. Cheapest I could find elsewhere was $137.99 with free shipping. Just for giggles I asked the dealer how much one was there and they quoted me $180 before tax, and they would have to...

Front fork mods - PITA factor vs payoff

That was a factor in my decision to go with the R6 upgrade too...I wanted blue caliper covers:Flash:

    2005 StreetFighter Finished.....for now

    Teaser: Winter Project ;)

So that beautiful Jardine got the wheels in my head turning, and I went out and looked at the taillight. It doesn't look like it would be that hard to modify it to make it flat at the bottom; it is only the very back portion that is actually pointed, along with the black trim under it. A...

    Teaser: Winter Project ;)

Not sure about the suspension, but I'm looking forward to seeing how you get the Jardine in there. As I see it the pointy taillight will be the tough part to work around, unless you make a custom light like the guy with the CBR1000 exhaust did.

    It has begun!

Funny you should mention that...I just won an 07 swingarm off ebay a couple minutes ago, couldn't pass it up at 40 bucks:D

Trying to coordinate group buy for FZS headlight from India

Excellent seller, great communication throughout the whole process and the parts arrived very quickly for coming across the globe. I mounted my horn in the stock position but am going to be relocating it to the fairing stay once I send in my order to DPM Race. Couldn't be happier with the...

    Fairing Protection vs. Deer

I don't think the fairing really provides any real impact protection, it is only a couple mm of plastic. If it just barely hit the fairing and then swung into you it could have completely missed you if the fairing wasn't there.

Has anyone seen a single exhaust mod on FZ6?

In general 4:1 is better for top end while 4:2:1 is more low-mid. This is just concerning the headers though, not the mufflers. I have never seen an FZ6 or R6 with a 4:1 header, even the race full exhausts have 4:2:1. Here is Arrow's race header for the R6, you can see it is 4:2:1.

    It has begun!

I did see that they are making a new Mortal Kombat movie, I can't wait! The first one is one of my all-time favorite movies. I even have Annihilation even though it wasn't near as good as the first one. I don't have any pictures in cool locations yet, but I snapped a few outside my parents'...
