Get ready for a May scavenger hunt

I'd almost rather have tornadoes than what we got starting today. Up till yesterday it was typical 70-80* weather, sometimes pretty windy (gusting to 50 MPH) but still ride-able no problem. Step outside today, what do you know, it's snowing! Good thing there is no scavenger list yet, I...

Ever wondered, "Which Exhaust Should I buy?"

We've had a couple people do lower mounting exhausts, but the problem is always the hole left over from where the underseat used to be. It is a good way for people doing tail swaps anyways to save some weight though!

Teaser of the "Teaser: Winter Project"

I thought you had an FZ1 tail on there, or was I hallucinating? Looks great as it is, if you hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have noticed the wheel swap. When anyone says Kawasaki I picture bright green in my mind.

Bilt riding pants from Cycle Gear

I haven't tried them, but I did check out the Bilt leather jacket when I was getting my new tires. I was surprised at the quality for the price, I will most likely be buying it next time I get some fun money.

    turbo ???

Lucky! TW200s are so cool, I wish I had one. I read a long time ago about using an air pump off a car to supercharge a small engine, you should be able to rig it up on the TW, just need to figure out the blow-through carb setup.

Getting some new tires on in the morning, will be ready for some scavenging!

    fz8 1/4 mile time

Motorcycle USA got the stock FZ6 doing 11.37 sec @ 120.4MPH in the 1/4. The FZ8 only makes a couple more HP, and weighs more.

    FZ6-Forum Worldwide Gathering

Somewhere warm, 80*F minimum, that I could ride to. Distance is not an issue, but I wouldn't be comfortable shipping the bike, and I would prefer taking the bike to a convention where it is what brought us together. Texas, Cali, Vegas, Florida (the Keys maybe?), plenty of good choices. I...

    The police?

I haven't been pulled over on the bike yet, but I have had a couple close encounters. One that comes to mind was when I was commuting to school, which is about 40 minutes each way, about half highway. I was on my way back at 10PM, finally done for the day after being in classes since 7:30...

    r6s header on fz6

Its been done, you will just have to figure out something to fill the hole in the tail with. R6S headers

What did you do with your bike today?

Today I got on the bike to take some more pictures to update my Jardine exhaust thread, found it quite difficult to back out of the garage for some reason. Took a gander once outside in the sunlight, found a nice fat nail in my almost new Metzeler M5.

    Great gas prices

Looking at the random jugs of fluids laying around and the cinderblocks in the drive, my guess is its an abandoned station.

    AIS Removal

Nice write-up, I did this a while back on my bike and fiddled around a while installing it. Fortunately I had heard beforehand that it won't start if you unplug the unit itself so I left it in there. The reason I took mine off was the noise it was making, even with the stock exhaust. I also...

Clear Turn Signals - Other Bikes

You don't need a whole separate brake light to do the flashing thing, it is a module you hook in. I personally find them really annoying when I see them. Backoff

    almost done!

It looks good, I like flat black jobs, but was always too worried about scratching it to try it for myself. I think I have a fairing bolt laying around here from when I went naked I can mail you. PS: Thank you for not putting Bullitt wheels on your Mustang.:D

    Anybody have two bikes?

Funny that you have a ZX14, that is what I have my eye on for my next bike. I think a little TW200 would be a good addition too, but for now I am like The Dude, except my Schwinn is a Specialized.

Best Exhaust Ever! 3/4 of the way Installed...

I like it. Much more accurate now, thanks! Suspension-wise all I have done is the R6 fork/brake swap so far. Dropping a little money here and there is easier for my brain to handle than the $800ish rear shocks are going for.:D Thanks, it was good timing on Skooter's part posting it for...

Best Exhaust Ever! 3/4 of the way Installed...

Re: Best Exhaust Ever! Halfway Installed... I have an idea to fill in those side gaps, but it is a secret until I get it done.:D I agree though, I wish the gaps were not there, but I knew they would be going into it.

Best Exhaust Ever! 3/4 of the way Installed...

Re: Best Exhaust Ever! Halfway Installed... My doorbell just rang and my maillady had more presents for me! Mirrors are finally here, will get some new updated shots once they are on. Mods feel free to rename the thread since it isn't halfway installed anymore.

    SpeedoDRD (Speedohealer alternative)

So since I went -1/+2 on my sprockets my speedometer has been off. When I am riding around with some traffic it isn't that big a deal since I just go a little faster than everyone else, but I work the night shift and on the way home I am often alone. Since my city has recently purchased a Ford...
