the FZ6 was/is a great bike. I put 40k miles on it in 9 years. If it weren't for the new bike being awesome too it would have hurt to see it go. I have a new FJ-09 and it is a terrific bike so far.

Sold my FZ6 today. I made the new owner happy. It was my first bike and super solid. Now go on and try to get that song out of your head, hahaaa

When it comes time for me to replace tires I would go with either Angel GT or Pilot Road #. Both have been excellent on my FZ6 Edit: hahaaa another tire thread!! love it

I have the Sportmax tires on my new FJ-09. Only 420 miles in it so far. They appear to stick pretty well in the corners in 50 degree temperature. I haven't tested them in the rain yet.

oh hahaaa ok.. my bad. I should have realized. I would use this lube without any worry. if tough enough for marine use it should be fine

I've used waterproof marine grease and never had an issue with it. Did that tube seriously cost $82?

I hear what you say Scott and I agree, sometimes you just have to pass on the right. I would have dropped back and observed for a little bit. Most of the time trucks end up getting over to the right.

A little instinct and lots of common sense goes a long way. I generally think passing a large tractor trailer on the right is kind of a dumbass move to begin with

I just went with the FJ-09 after having ridden the FZ6 for 40k miles. It is a taller bike and I like where the footpegs are as they are a bit lower and more comfortable. The Tracer GT is really a dressed up FJ-09. Great bike so far. Had it for 1 week
