Oh, and you'll need either a long allen (19mm or 23mm seems to come mind for some reason) or a few nuts snugged up on a bolt to "jimmy" an allen with a socket instead.

WRT to the axle, that's similar to the R6 axle design. Should work. Just make sure that the axle's inner-runner, outer diameter (longer tube part of the black axle part) matches the wheel's axle hole diameter. If it's smaller, you may be able to sleeve it to fit. If it's longer, you may need...

R6 inverted forks are of a smaller diameter (41mm vs. FZ6's 43mm).

I don't remember exactly but I wanna say 3/8". They survived my lay down at AAA Speedway. I've had 0 complaints so far.

In the old SBN R6 Fork Mod thread, I found the bolt w/a few nuts trick and that worked for me. The nuts snug up against the bolt head and the socket torques them. Finding an allen that size can be difficult. Sockets and nuts are much easier to find.

Something a lot of people don't do: tell your boss/supervisor/manager/etc. Make sure they know you're getting into this big purchase. Neither of you wants to get a surprise layoff or something. It also sets up the the guidelines for taking time off to do paperwork, signings, etc.

A DocuShare customer?

I bought a headlight two weeks ago and it arrived 5 days after I paid for it via PayPal. Packaging is exactly as pictured above. I'm still cleaning up the front end (removing my clip-ons and establishing FZ1 handle bars; and my garage after 6 months of neglect) so install pics will come later...

Your best bet would be to try to find the microfiche for the Euro bikes and do visual comparison. I believe they are compatible but I can't say for sure and can't recall what thread might have the information you need.

I believe they did, but their usage was different. They were using an FZ6 engine in some sort of kart or other 4 wheel vehicle. I asked that they post their result I never saw any posting.

FYI, the university students were going with an STM product.
