    Dunlop RoadSmart Tires??

Update on the roadsmart tire. The tires last for almost 10000 km now and are still holding. It surprises me that they last that long. In the beginning they were showing signs of wear very fast. But this seems to stop after a while. Last week I made a trip to Germany. 500 km highway with...

Whats the best way to stop a fellow rider?

If it's a slower red one FZ6, you can always turn and try and catch him or her (If you can )

    How many miles?

That's what the FX6 does. Keep on going mile after mile. In Holland 100000 miles on a FZ6 are well known. My bike is a clean red '07 as well (august '07). And we are well over 12000 miles as well and just starting. There's a tread with the mileages on this forum as well. Have a look over...

    Seat problems

Hi. I've seen some great examples on the site below. You can even build your own saddle on line. I don't know if there is a dealer nearby were you live. Not mine but you see what I mean. Bagster

    Shifting problems

Sounds like the same problem I had a few weeks ago. It seems the gear shifter has not enough space. You need another extra inch or so. What I did was lubricate the shifter cable and the problem was solved. I drove 2500 km since and the problem did not come back yet. I hope this...

    Routine checks

I check tire presure and the chain. I find them the most important parts of my bike. :)

    ABS brakes

I've seen some posts about the FZ6 not being a bike for starters. I agree on that. I started driving bikes again after 14 years with the FZ6 as first bike. I had some moments I was glad to have the ABS on board. I believe within the next couple of years there is no bike you can buy in the...

    ABS brakes

In Holland we're just staring to get ABS on bikes. HID lights are not yet available. Airbags are just entering the bike world, only available on a few (big) bikes. Cars though you can only get with ABS and airbags. I agree, every bike should have those safety features.

    ABS brakes

There's no ABS on the FZ6 in the US available? You can get them with ABS or without in Holland. Mine is with and will cost 300 Euro more. But it's worth every cent of it.

    ABS brakes

I've had some advanced motor training last year. Both times included breaking at high speed. The first was up to 80 km per hour, the second up to 120 km per hour. What they've learned to me was keep pulling the break lever together with the clutch and the rear brake. Pull as hard as you can...

What jacket do you guys ride with?.

I've got 2 jackets. For all seasons I use the Damen textile jacket. It's also used by the police, paramedics and so on. Very good jacket but to hot for the summer. When the temperature rises above 20 dergrees celcius I use the Rev'it airforce. A nice and light jacket still with removable...
