Ducati rider clicking down to shift up?

That is indeed called GP shifting. 1 up, 5 down (as opposed to the 1 down, 5 up of most street bikes). You can do it on the FZ6 using aftermarket rear sets, or, IIRC, you can do it with the stock rear sets (though I think you have to route the shift rod outside the frame). If you look at...

    Need a stock seat

I'm probably going to be listing my '06 FZ6N for sale soon, and I'm going to be selling some aftermarket parts. One of the things I'll be selling is the Corbin seat (don't PM me yet...lol...I'll post it up when it's up for sale). But, I need a stock seat to replace the Corbin, as I sold my...

im a sucker for matching bikes

Two beautiful bikes! I'm about to sell my FZ6 and buy a black '09 FZ1 (possibly this weekend). Silver would be my first choice, so I'm lusting over yours.

    Very preliminary selling questions

Haha, you sound like me. I don't need knee pucks either (although I do have them!) The bike IS clean. Never been down, nothing. The guy had a daughter a while back and just doesn't have time to ride anymore. That's the reason for the sale. But it's been available for over a year and no...

    Very preliminary selling questions

Thanks for the info, Erci. I've got a lead on a black '09, little under 6500 miles, has a full Yoshi exhaust system, all the performance mods that people do on FZ1 Forum, with all stock parts as well for $6000. I'm not sure I can pass it up.

    Very preliminary selling questions

You know, I didn't even realize you'd gotten a FZ1 until I looked at your avatar over there. Nice! The only reason I'm limiting it to '08 and above is because the bank will only finance up to 80% on '07 and below. Obviously that's not THAT big of a deal (since I'll be making up for some of...

    Very preliminary selling questions

I wanted to keep everyone updated on what's going on with my decision. I've moved forward in the process a bit. Oh hell, I may as well say I've decided to sell my FZ6...lol. Mentally, I'm already there. Now it's just a matter of deciding how and for how much. I've already been...

    Very preliminary selling questions

Thanks for the replies guys. Like I said, this is a very preliminary thing. I LOVE this bike and the original plan was to buy something like a FJR and keep the FZ6 too, but I guess I'm getting older and on longer rides, I've started to develop some real knee pain in my right knee (aftermarket...

    Very preliminary selling questions

After a nice long ride today, I've started thinking about moving to another bike (possibly a FJR if I can find one for a good price with decent mileage or a FZ1). Now, let me say, this is a VERY preliminary idea. I'm simply trying to get a feeling of numbers that I should be looking at...

    Tapalk help

Hmm...I just checked on both my Galaxy SII and my iPhone 4S and it's working fine on both. Maybe try deleting the app and reinstalling? I know that sucks, as you'd need to reenter all your login credentials for each forum, but that would be my suggestion.

    Post your FZ6N Pics!

After switching from the Buell headlight to the VS-02 kit from Vishnu, I thought I should post some pictures. I really like the VS-02 kit and I've gotten tons of compliments on it. Although I think I still prefer the looks of the Buell front end, I like that this one is mounted to the triples...

    Egg shell finish belly pan

Old, old, OLD pictures of my bike (before I went naked), but I thought you might want to see what the blue belly pan would look like on a blue '06.

    What's your favorite (transmission) gear?

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking, too. On the Dragon, I'm almost always in 2nd gear. It's the perfect gear for that road...lots of pull out of the corners and nearly no shifting. Just sit back and concentrate on your lines.

Lesson learned! Always check your helmet.

Yep, helmet bags are definitely the way to go when you put your gear away at the end of the day! I'm DEATHLY afraid of spiders (snakes...not so much), so I'm anal about making sure none of those little devils have made their way into my gear (I store my gear in the garage with the bike)...

    Rider Weights

I simply couldn't agree with this any more. The end of last summer I had a routine physical and when the doctor got the blood work back, she called and let me know my cholesterol was starting to get elevated. I'd been skinny my entire youth (I was a baseball player) and stayed that way until...

    What's this then???

Hmm. I just figured we weren't getting it based on the fact that it's listed on the Canadian Yamaha site, but not on the US site. The only option is the matte gray on the US site. But I hope you're right! I'd definitely consider this red/white scheme over the matte.

    What's this then???

WTF is up with Yamaha??? Why does the US only get the matte gray/black version of the FZ8 and not this BEAUTIFUL throwback scheme??? It makes no sense and they do this all the time. Send one color scheme to one country but then give all these other options to other countries. It especially...

Help me find a trailer like this

Thanks, guys. I'll check with my buddy that can weld that I mentioned earlier. I'm sure he'll know where to find the best prices and exactly what I need. I've gotta get moving on this...I'm heading to Deal's Gap in a little over a month...lol.

Help me find a trailer like this

Thanks for that info, Eric. I'll snap a picture of my current setup here in a second and post it so you can see how it's set up now (pretty close to what you described). Hmm...this, along with Andz's picture, sounds like exactly what I'd like to do. You probably would know this off the top...

Help me find a trailer like this

OK, now this makes me feel a lot better about sticking with the HF trailer. LOL. Out of curiosity, soupflakes, what do you have as the floor on your trailer? I bought mine from a co-worker as he was refurbishing it to sell it, and he had just put a piece of 1/2 inch plywood on there. It's...
