e-Motorcyles : Another one for the list

At first it was surprising that Harley made an electric. Then I read that they had added a "bevel" gear to transfer power from their longitudinally mounted electric motor to the drive train, designed to make a loud noise. I really do not want to read about electric motors right...

    Saddle bags

Underneath your exhaust covers (silencers) there's a pair of flat metal supports that you can put some load on with straps. Edit: Those supports attach to the license plate bracket IIRC.

All I can say is you have my condolences. Don't forget to drink a cold one as soon as you're done dealing with it!

Bought her and a month later, went cross country

That is awesome! Did you take I-59 S through AL and MI down to I-12/ I-10 into TX? I'm curious...is it really 800 miles from the east of TX to the west on I-10?

    Ebr 1190sx

Power to weight ratio of a Honda CBR1000RR without rider is higher than that of a Bugatti Veyron. The EBR will go, I would bet.

I'm sure the pictures are everywhere as soon as they're somewhere, but here's a link: 403 Forbidden The front exhaust header appears to be rectangular. Am I seeing that right? Man that bike looks awesome...

How could I forget the oil-in-the-swingarm! A testament to Buell's ingenuity is that you can never remember all of the things he did to his bike line. The history of the man is also pretty fascinating to read about. IIRC he implemented (or tried to implement) an idea to get radiators to...

Some of the similarities are there. The huge perimeter style front brake IIRC is a Buell staple. Also the new EBRs are storing fuel in the frames, just like the old Buell line did. Older Buell bikes did other interesting things, including under-engine centered exhausts.

    Sorry to be leaving?

You certainly seem to like, and that's what counts. After all, and extra 400 cc is just 20% of the volume of a 2-liter. Not that much more power than fz6.........right?

Rain gear: What do you have? How well does it work?

It may not be avoidable. I noticed, before I had waterproof pants, that the water pooled up at my crotch just because your legs make a bowl with the seat and tank there, and acceleration draws water back against your grundle.

Rain gear: What do you have? How well does it work?

I feel like water proof pants should be attainable. The pants I have use the same kind of liner as the jacket, which seems to work as long as it's not being directly hit by 60 mph hail.

Rain gear: What do you have? How well does it work?

I have a Dainese Atallo D-Dry jacket: Dainese Atallo 2 D-Dry Jacket - RevZilla Drove it through a hail / rain storm in East Texas. It's the same as what the OP said, works well in general, but gets damp in the bicep area where the rain hits the hardest. The wind and hail were pretty...

    Turbo time. Seriously.

Looking awesome! I guess I'll join the 'think they know' crowd, but in the other direction. I'm no engineer, but your explanation for how the turbo should work sounds believable, right? It sounded like you were saying that at X motorcycle rpm you estimate you will have the same flux of air...

4th puncture this year!!!! help me

First thing that comes to mind is the area you ride through. (It could also just be bad luck). I don't know if there's a construction site you drive by regularly or what. Try changing your route?
