Has anybody taken the stock muffler off and replaced it with just 2 straight pipes. I don't really have the money to put on a set of after market cans so I was thinking of doing this to beef up the sound. Or any other suggestions of what I can do?? Do anybody have a sound clip of what the fz6...

IMO why wast the money on a filter wrench when you can buy gas..lol and you should always discard your old filter so a screwdriver works like a charm.. and you gotta admit who don't like stabbing something every now and again. lol

It's a FZ6 if you look closely you can see the under tail

Take the break pads off and rub them with a bit of sand paper just enough to take the glassy look off them

Yamaha FJR for me and the women. it is good for 2 people to ride and it has alot of power. I seen a guy cat walk one once. but I will keep the FZ6 for me to play around on.

My advise is to buy a new filter every time you change your oil. For me I Like was suggested before just drive a screwdriver through it and take it off new filters just need to go on hand tight. but make sure you put a little oil on the rubber o-ring at the top of the filter before you replace it.

If you want to solve the problem of the low beam being on the same time as the high beam you can put a automotive light relay in parallel with the high beam lights. (see pics sorry for high jacking your pic) Now when you turn on the high beams it will cut the power to the low beams.

It sounds like to me that its a cooling problem. Might I suggest a coolent flush. May I also suggest looking into a new mechanic. they should have tech manuals or a diagnostic computer that will tell them whats wrong.
