    Goin to the Tail

Guys, I am in the process of planning a trip to the Tail of the Dragon next year. I can't wait. I am planning on trailering my bike down there, staying in Gatlinburg, and riding for a few days before returning home. My question is for those that have been before. Looking for recommendations...

Anyone have a motorcycle superstore coupon I can have?

Have you tried calling Motorcycle Superstore and telling them that you had a coupon that just expired and see if they would reissue it. They might do it since you plan on using it right away. Worth a shot anyway.

    Fender Eliminator Kit

I have that exact same one. I couldn't be happier with it. I also changed out my front turn signals to the same lights just to keep everything the same. The plate light is kinda dim but legal. Install was a breeze and pretty self explanatory. If you get the one with the FZ6 logo I think it...

    Alpinestars Drystar gauntlet gloves XL

I have a pair of Alplinestars Drystar gauntlet style gloves for sale. These came with the bike when I bought it and are just a tad too large for me. They are in excellent shape with no rips or tears and in almost like new condition. They do have a liner which also makes them a little too...

Looking for a pair of gauntlet gloves

Hello, I am looking for a some gauntlet gloves that are not too bulky but yet you can where them in 50-60 degree weather and be comfortable. Looking to spend around $75.00 but less is always good too. Just wondering if anybody out there had any suggestions.

    Had a great weekend!

The weather here in Michigan last weekend was so nice I knew I didn't want to spend it indoors. I wanted to ride the bike but I also wanted to go bowhunting, so I decided to do both and took the bike up to the cabin(family cottage in the Baldwin area) and had a riding/hunting weekend. Saw a...

Updates on the NYC Rider vs SUV

Just got done watching some more footage from the guys helmet cam. Not sure if it was from before the incident or just another group ride but all I can say is wow!, these guys are d**k's! No wonder we all get a bad rap when you have people like this out there running quads in the road, popping...

Updates on the NYC Rider vs SUV

I'll admit I have not read all the articles on this case but do we even know what actually started all this or are we just guessing based on what was seen from the beginning of the amateur video. Like did Lien cut off a motorcyclist and he took objection or did a motorcyclist cut off Lien...

    Finally got some gear!!!

Good! You'll feel alot better about your safety. I have those same gloves and like them very much. Also have a mesh jacket myself and love it. Once your moving you won't even notice your wearing a jacket.

    Getting younger riders into riding?

I think it's like any other hobby that we do, it's up to us to pass along the love of it to our children. I was on a dirt bike by the time I was 8 and fell in love with it and that eventually transitioned naturally into street motorcycles. My two daughters both ride quads but I have been...

    great commercial for lane filtering.

I believe the only place in the US where lane splitting is tolerated (not sure of the legality issue) is California but at any rate I believe if the surrounding cars are moving fast enough to quickly change lanes than lane splitting should probably be avoided. But I guess in the end it's up to...

    Front Turn Signal Mod

Looks like I beat Motogiro to the punch, I was turned on to this one by him. Works great and mounts to your left inside front fender where the existing relay is. http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-electrical/42693-electronic-flasher-relays-great-price.html

    6000 Mile Service

While I personally would not spend that much on an oil filter I must say that is one of the coolest oil filters I have seen. Looks great with the black frame:thumbup:

    Test rode a FZ09

How high do you sit compared to an FZ6? I really want this bike but am height challenged myself(5'7" on a good day) and the FZ6 is at the edge of my comfort level heightwise. I know the seat is slightly higher on the 9 but I was hoping the slimmer profile would make up for it.

Favorite time of day/ season / place to ride

I would probably say summer mid to later in the day when the humidity is low and I can just where a t-shirt under my mesh jacket and be comfortable. I do love the evenings as well but hate the deer that are moving around and really love the fall but hate having to keep a watchful eye out for...
