    Do or Do not?

Well to be honest brother, it sounds like you made your mind up already and you just want reassurance. I say if you have the funds go for it! I know I don't regret putting slip-ons on my FZ6. The performance upgrade may be minimal but you feel like your riding a completely different bike!

Low price on FZ-09 $7495 OTD

Saw this on ebay as I was browsing around and thought I would throw it out there if anybody in the West Virginia area is looking for an FZ-09. This is the lowest price I have seen one at yet. If I had the funds I'd buy one in a heartbeat...

did a coolant change but forgot one thing

Your going to want to run water through it a few times to wash away as much of the old coolant as you can and then refill the rad. and res. with new coolant. If all you did was drain the old coolant and then refill I would redo. If you already flushed the system but simply did not fill all the...

Did I burn my starter - Cage question

Do you mean the motor is turning over but wont fire or the starter simply stops trying to turn the motor over? If the car will run for a bit then quit I would look at the fuel pump. If it cranks unevenly or stops after a bit more than likely the starter gear is shot or has grime and grit in it...

Looking for an opinion on brake/clutch levers

I guess the biggest question I have regarding lever length is there any performance difference between the two? Mainly is it harder to pull the clutch in with shorties? I like the looks of the shorties but don't want to get sore hands from a tighter pull from using just two fingers. Mainly on...

Looking for an opinion on brake/clutch levers

I'm looking to get new brake/clutch levers for the FZ6 and I have it narrowed down to two. The 7 click adjustable from The2Wheels and the FP Racing Sport lever from Motomummy. The ones from The2Wheels appeal to me because of the price but the FP's appeal to me because the workmanship seems...

    2006 Yamaha FZ6 - Looking to buy

One more thing. It might be a good idea to ask the seller if the bike has been riden in the rain or stored outside. Not that it's a bad thing but riding it in the rain can shorten the life of the steering, wheel, and swingarm bearings. In a perfect world you would like to find a bike that has...

    2006 Yamaha FZ6 - Looking to buy

Yeah that's the one I was referring to. Didn't read that you had looked at it already. I think rule of thumb is Blue Book is a good place to start if the bike is in excellent condition and you can ride it this summer without having to do anything to it. If it's been dropped, scratched or...

    2006 Yamaha FZ6 - Looking to buy

I think $3500 seems like a fair price provided it is in excellent shape and has not been dropped. It seems like here in Michigan bikes for whatever reason go for more than the Blue Book value, especially at a dealer. And in another month it will be very hard to find a nice bike for a good price...

    WTB: Blue Front Fairing

Have you tried to get ahold of this guy? Not sure if he still has it but won't hurt to ask. http://www.600riders.com/forum/bikes-parts-sale/51443-nib-04-06-fz6-front-fairing-dark-blue.html

    help identify this Honda

Doesn't look like it. Where the clutch lever would normally be it is actually a parking brake lever.

The Holidays: What BEER is in your fridge right now?

Yeah, that's an extremely popular one. I have friends that line up for it ala "black Friday" when it gets released.

The Holidays: What BEER is in your fridge right now?

Not too hoyiti toyiti with my beer. Just a cold Coors light for me. I actually have a case now but not in my fridge, it's sittin' on my back deck. One of the few perks of living in the upper midwest.

    Great review on the FZ-09

Same here. Just recently bought my FZ6 (which I absolutely love by the way!) but already want to upgrade to the 9. I have to keep telling myself to wait a couple of years until I can find a nice used one.

    Great review on the FZ-09

Here is a long but what I think is an excellent review on the FZ-09. When he has it in "A" mode it looks like it seriously wants to wheelie! This will defiantly be my next bike! 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 Full Review and V-Log - YouTube

    This anybody here?

Came across this while web browsing and thought good riding (Except for about the 8:40 mark where he drifts into the other lane and a car comes shortly after that, but otherwise good). Didn't know if it was anybody from this forum. Tail Of The Dragon on my FZ6 - YouTube

Why the FZ6 hate in bike media?

That's the quote I remember as well which is why they discontinued the FZ8, at least here in the States. Not sure about across the pond. I have never gotten anything except compliments about my bike and already have a few people lined up wanting to buy it when I finally upgrade to the FZ9.
