Question TRYING to solve the snatchy throttle

...not 10% exactly... I'm not aware that I can see live data on the dash at same time as riding? I dont think you can anyway. I am not reading the TPS with a multimeter... but seeing with live data on the dash that it sees 1%- throttle position as soon as I touch the throttle. I also dont notice...

My 05 will not rev past 2000 RPMs and will shut off like the kill switch was hit

The TPS was never disconnected, the bike and idles at 1200 rpm just fine. But when I move the throttle and it gets to 1800-2000 rpms the bike immediately shuts off like the kill switch was hit. There is no stumbling or anything it just immediately cuts off. I will see if I can upload a youtube...

My 05 will not rev past 2000 RPMs and will shut off like the kill switch was hit

If the TPS wasn't properly reconnected or had a break in the line, the bike would not start and you'd get a code. I watched about a minute of that video when it occurred to me that perhaps you accidently dislodged a vacuum hose, or possibly pinched one, while doing the installation.

Need Help Fuel and spark but no start.

Well if cranks over I would give it a shot of starting fluid in each TB to see if catches for a few cycles. If it does it rules out the CPS, TPS and the like. What color is the spark (not in direct sunlight)? How old is the fuel? If it’s the fuel from last summer…there’s your problem.

Question TRYING to solve the snatchy throttle

Check post number 9 on the thread below. Cocoloco has proven himslf to be a master mechanic, and his diagnosis of his TPS (heat soaked vs cold and in diagnostic mode vs dynamic) may have reference to your issue. https://www.600riders.com/threads/strange-idle-issue.60246/#post-652832

Question TRYING to solve the snatchy throttle

Yes, I have put AIS block off plates bought on the web, and remove all the valves system, without any fault ... this was part of all the mods but I doubt this one alone has a big effect. If you change the TPS setting a bit, keep us informed of your feeling ... thanks

My 05 will not rev past 2000 RPMs and will shut off like the kill switch was hit

I just tested it again, smoothly rolls 16-100 in a linear manner. I was hoping for a dead spot.

Need Help Bike idles decent but given throttle it dies

...of the FZ6R (this is a site dedicated to the 2004 to 2010 FZ6) the first thing I would check would be a clogged screen in the in-tank fuel filter/pump assembly. If that doesn't clear the problem, I would go into diagnostics mode and check the output/signal from the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).

    Strange Idle Issue

...how thermostat valve works cold coolant iacv retracts/open the air way, hot coolant closes it, ecu doesnt have control over this. Turns out my TPS is the issue afterall Reads fine and no skips on diag mode False reading when engine starts and vibrates, also heat soaking of tps may cause it...

Question TRYING to solve the snatchy throttle

...a few of you here... the throttle goes from 0-5% in one step if you like... Things I have done; AIS delete. Perfect throttle cable adjustment. TPS adjustment (and replacement) New chain and sprockets and cush drive. Chain tension changes make no difference. Balanced the throttle bodies...

I've been touring for hours today and I probably have the most expensive ride today had. It was a nice intensive journey :) Dutch saying: go with that banana. I painted the hole bike with shappire black metallic like my wife s e46 bmw it got flakes and you clearly can see it in the sun!

Thanks Cliff. Was going to go through that last night but was too lazy to pop the tank and disconnect the fuel pump. Will do that in the next day or 2 and report.

Another update! I did the resistor trick. Runs well and no CEL But problem still exists Im still thinking why i didn't do TPS test when the problem occurs Well it turns out my new chinese TPS is affected by heat soak Tps reading when Cold engine 16 When hot 25 Before replacing the tps, i...

Question TRYING to solve the snatchy throttle

Tricks the ecu to think there is still suction or slight pressure in the airbox and therefore it does not cut fuel. There is a lot of info if you want. Just google "zady5". It works. I was very close to sell the bike til I tried it. I did the 6 test. Worth nothing. You should go straight to the...

Question TRYING to solve the snatchy throttle

...and the fuel is cut to the injectors. Roll on the throttle again and there's nothing for a second then you have power. It's a horrible thing for sure and only a remap of the ECU will cure it. TPS adjustment or a power commander still won't solve it. As far as I know its there for emissions...
