Wow, sounds like a great trip. I'm in London and would certainly hook up for part of it in either UK or France. How much are you looking at for shipping the bikes here? You could consider buying a new or second-hand one and starting the trip in London. Might be cheaper for you to fly to London...

I was in the same position as you on my first FZ6. I read loads of threads on mixing tyres etc. and came to the conclusion that I'd put my trust in the manufacturers developing tyres to match each other. I bought the Bridgestone BT020 GG 's. Apparently the GG is for the FZ6. Not sure whether...

I returned my '05 FZ6 to my dealer when I first heard the whine after the first time my chain was adjusted, only to be told it's nothing to worry about and normal. My new '07 has exactly the same noise. The FZ6 is perfect is so many ways, but I'm sure lots of us agree the transmission needs...
