    Fort Lauderdale?

I am in Fort Lauderdale but was in the UK until the 24th Sept, let me know next time you are here. How was your trip?

Winter riding - Wrap up warm! *warning*

On a serious note, the trouble with the winter in the UK and France is that the rain seems very invasive, it is often a fine rain that seems to find it's way into any gap in your wet weather gear. For the cold, lots of thin layers are the way to go and as it says above, use the waterproofs as...

Winter riding - Wrap up warm! *warning*

Sorry Nelly, but I had to post this.... but before you grumble remember that I have had my fair share of UK winter morning rides to work! Winter is the best time to ride here, no rain (the rain stops in Nov and does not return until mid April!), clear conditions and temperatures in the mid...

    wont start unless in nutural

Definitely sounds like the connector for the kickstand switch, mine came unplugged and had exactly the same problem, its just under the clutch lever, the black connector will have come out, plug it back in and all will be good.

    how can I get better?

Personally I would have said that counter steering is the way to go, if you are going into a left hand bend then gently apply pressure to the left bar almost pushing it away from you, that gives you far more control when cornering. Also, +1 on the advice to look ahead in the bend, look where...

What effect will the credit crunch have on you guys?

A lot of my clients are so far up the economic ladder that fluctuations do not generally affect them but this time it is different, have noticed a lot of prospective work being put on the back burner as "the boss" has put a freeze on spending for the time being.

What can we learn from this guy?

Looks like he snatched the front brake (first video), his front wheel jerks big time just before the back wheel starts to give.

Technically the car would not have done anything wrong by not looking for the red light runner, it is the car that ran the lights that is totally and completely to blame but I agree that is would be prudent for them to be aware. The trouble is that any red light runners I have seen have been...

    Google Chrome

Sounds like a good challenge to me, I am more than happy to change if the new one is better.

    Google Chrome

Even with all it's flaws, I tend to prefer IE, I have tried Firefox and now Google but I guess it is familiararity as I opened it and now have reverted back to dear old Microsoft.

Running red lights seems to be a popular pastime here. Florida driving laws.. Green light = Stop just before the intersection to work out which way you want to turn or to move over to the correct lane that you should have been in long before you got to the intersection. Amber light =...

    Tips on cleaning

Not sure about washing up liquid, it will take off any wax that you have on the bike, Personally I use a very weak car wash liquid and then use a really high quality polish (normally used on super yachts) about every other wash to bring out the high gloss finish. Washing up liquid can be...

    Absolutely pi55 wet through

The after effects of Fay gave me a real soaking yesterday, as Troubl says it is the norm here to get a good soaking in the late afternoon but yesterday was pretty wild.

Post your Hall of Shame Moments HERE

Not on the FZ6 but when I had my Bandit I put it on the side stand on a road with a really steep camber, forgot all about it when I got onto the bike and tipped it to the right to get it off the stand, yup, gravity took over and I ended up sprawled on the pavement tangled up in the bike. Both...
